R10 First Life Static - (Almost) All Heroic Quests Completed on R10

After a long journey full of ups and downs. The R10 static has completed every single heroic quest apart from Devil's Assault, Lamordia and some other stand alone quests on primarily first lifers. Through thick and thin, we've persevered through some tough quests. From spamming retries into Zuggtmoy at level 10 to overestimating the difficulty of half of the quests. We've managed to complete every quest we could access on R10. The 403rd and final quest to be completed was Bastion of Power which proved to be a bit tricky at some points due to (believe it or not) gelatinous cubes.

Thank you to Arlin, Arch, Djjinn, Shlop and Tea for the past 18 months. What an experience.

Some stats:
820k rxp obtained (VIP no pot). Would not recommend this for farming rxp.
Approximately 2000 deaths. About 500 of them occurring before level 5.
Fear Reapers were by far the biggest killer. They are lethal in heroic R10s!

We are not done yet though! We still have got the lvl 17+ heroic raids to complete. Vision of Destruction fell in the same evening. Six more remain.

If you followed the journey through the forum posts and discord screenshots or are just stumbling across this. Thank you very much for taking the time to read!

What can you tell the uninitiated about the six characters?
5 of us are first or second lifers.

Builds:

2nd life Pure Fighter - intim tank
1st life Bard Spellsinger - healer/cc
1st life Pale Master Wizard - cc/instakills
1st life Pure Ranger - ranged dps
2nd life 13 fvs 4 warlock 2 alch - healer/debuffs
3rd life Arti/Rogue Repeater - dps

Reaper points are capped at the first lifers (28 right now). In hindsight we could’ve probably condensed the support roles into 2 characters and brought an extra dps but it has not really been a problem until the very end.

Gearing is pretty min-maxed. A lot of us farmed for curses. I think everyone could eek out a little more but the return on investment severely diminished.

Just been doing this 3 hours a week for the last 18 months or so (skipping a few weeks here and there for IRL stuff) and finally got to the end of the quests!

Fascinating, and quite the achievement. I get a strong sense of camaraderie from all this.

I have three other questions. Detailed answers appreciated if you have the time.

1. Which quest was the easiest compared to expectations?

2. Which was the surprisingly tougher quest compared to expectations?

3. Which was the toughest non-raid quest?

1) Main quest that was easy compared to expectations was Prey on the Hunter. We thought it would be a much tighter window to get to the dragon but she had 40% health left when we got to her. Most expansion quests and other legendary quests were quite straightforward as well compared to what you would expect.

2) I don’t think there were any quests that were tougher than expected. Toxic Treatment endfight was tricky but with two people having glitter dust it wasn’t too bad. Reaver’s Reach as a whole was probably a bit trickier than we anticipated. A lot of hp bags and some tricky-ish end fights.

3) Top 3 hardest non-raid r10 adventures in heroics:

1. ToEE: Depths of the Temple - Zuggtmoy is genuinely a terrifying encounter in heroics. Very high damage DoTs, a boss that hits like a truck and trash spawns with 1 instakill made it very difficult to do. It took us over 20 attempts to complete.

2. Desert Caravan - Awful quest to do on r10. It’s a mix of luck and very good target focus. We got it down in about 5-6 tries but it could easily have taken longer

3. Every level 1-4 quest. You have barely anything in your toolkit to deal with the stuff that early game r10s throw at you. We probably had an average of 20-30 deaths per quest until we got to lvl 7.
