R10 Trios Challenge- Thrane

For any players on the Thrane server, we are hosting an R10 Trios Challenge. Details are below, to participate you should join The Portable Hole (Thrane's community discord server).

DDO 3-Man Challenge Rules
Welcome to the DDO 3-Man Challenge! Assemble your team of three and compete to complete quests on Reaper 10.

Challenge Quests

• All quests from The Chill of Ravenloft
• Fall of the Night Brigade
• Difficulty: Reaper 10 (R10) only

Scoring
Teams can earn points as follows:

• Completion – 1 point
• Fastest Time – 8 points for the fastest time, 7 for second fastest... etc. Only 8 teams will receive points. In the case of a tie for fastest completion time- most kills in the run will be the tie breaker.
• Most Kills – 8 points for the most kills, 7 for the second most... etc. Only 8 teams will receive points. In the case of a tie for most kills- fastest completion time will be the tie breaker.
• Deaths – 5 points for 0 deaths, 4 points for 1 death, 3 points for 2 deaths, 2 points for 3 deaths, 1 point for 4 deaths. More than 4 deaths awards 0 points. These are TOTAL deaths for the party, not per character. Each party member must submit a screenshot to qualify for this bonus.

Important: Each team may only score for one submission (their best run). Only the highest scoring submission per team will count.

Important: You can change builds at any time, but each player may only participate on ONE team and must play the SAME character throughout the challenge.

• Winners announced: by 10/05/2025 (sooner if Griglok has time to compile).

I love challenges like this under normal conditions, but all I can think of is "can we submit videos with the chunks crippling lag cut out for adjusted completion times?" Good luck with this, I hope next weeks update helps with the lag so things go well for your challenge.

It’s a cool challenge, but at this point in the game, it relies more on luck than anything else.

Quick update... Due to recent lag issues that impacted participation, the deadline for the challenge has been extended to 10/31/25. This ensures all teams have a fair opportunity to compete.

I did not measure the hang time in the air, but it could be 5 seconds at Shadowdale during a laggy raid like Threats Old and New with the monk or the wings FvS; and I thought those characters can fly... but alas...
