Racial Past Lives: A Build and A Path

Made this path and build pre-Lamordia for running all racial past lives, and have ran and worked on the build and path for 30+ lives. The barbarian build expects completionist, it should not matter to much, but if you have not done completionist first, i higly recommend as it is a faster power spike, and you likely want both 3 Chaosmancer lives for the dash, and 3 Scoundrel lives (or a Quiver of Alacricity) for movement speed, and a +3 dex tome for the later feats which are really only needed if running epics, and a +8 int tome for skill points. It consists of a build for barbarian with the goals of durability at all levels, fast movement, and area clear. The leveling path expects VIP(10%), Masters Gift(5%), Guild XP(5%), and a opener for Shadow Crypt and ideally Gianthold Tor, with notes about how i use a single 6hr 30% pot. The leveling path attempts to both stay on good experience per minute quests, along with hitting some specific monster manual hunter goals.

Build and leveling path

Leveling path key notes:
  • I realize I never included a key for the colors of the boxes, but green are quests, red are no 30% pot quests, purple is extra information, and yellow is wilderness area (of note Feywild is yellow, please don't take that as run all of feywild, just kill a raven and leave).
  • This leveling path of course is a guide, and not a must do, and I myself occasionally deviate somewhat from this.
Build General notes:
  • Using Aasimir as the base class because it doesn't have extra feats or skill points, just +2 wisdom which can be ignored.
  • Unneeded but highly useful past lives: Eladrin Chaosmancer, Primal Sphere: Ancient Power, Paladin, and Sacred Fist.
  • Power spikes at 5 and 15 when we regear, and somewhat at 10 with SoS.
  • You need lesser restoration pots, and idealy some cure serious wound pots for the absolute lowest levels.
  • A ring in the left ring slot cannot be swapped on hotbar at a clickly swap, and is an ideal candidate for a Master's Gift augment.
  • Not noted but useful items in the build are social skill swap items, an upgraded pale lavender ioun stone, planar gird, and muck's doom
Build Leveling notes:
  • Etheral greatsword is a stand in for a cannith crafted ML 2 Everbright greatsword with a ruby of ghostbade, which is immune to ooze damage and can hit reapers.
  • Blood tribute will carry your ability to survive, it is critical to pick this up as soon as possible. I have used upwards of 10+ times in some of the rougher solo quests. Since Blood tribute is Temp HP, not healing, it is not affected by reaper healing penalty. This is why is shines in my eyes.
  • Nightbringers wake (rare) is not essental, just useful.
  • Crown of butterflies is best in slot from level 5-29. If you plan to run melee often while leveling, reaper boost this.
  • Cranium Sphere is a 14 minutes 3 use Nightshield clicky. Get it or an alternative source of magic missle protection.
  • You can alternate the barbarian rage sprint boost with the action boost for full sprint speed uptime if wanted.
  • SoS at level 10, and flightfoot greaves for freedom of movement as well.
  • Ring of Baphoment at level 11 acts as a replacement for our cannith crafted ring, and slot a Master's Gift augment on this.
  • Level 12 takes accelerated metabolism and focused wrath in tier 5 frenzied berserker immediately. accelerated metabolism futher keeps us alive longer and less reliant on blood tribute. Focused wrath is further damage increases.
General Gameplay notes:
  • Jump and interact to be able to move for a bit while opening a door/pulling a lever, useful to dodge ranged fire while interacting. Make sure you end your jump near the interactable.
  • After interacting with a door/lever/valve, when it is complete, do any action (tumbling, moving, attacking, sprint boost, etc...) to start moving immediately instead of being stuck if you were holding a movement direction when starting the interaction.
  • Double tap escape on a loading screen to load into an area before the game is done. This can break some quests (ex. Bringing the Light, the END of Beyond the Rift in the final cavern...) so be aware.
  • Any XPAC teleport clicky cannot be interrupted in as many ways as a recall can, useful for certain quests (ex. Stealty Reposession)
  • The attack chain can be interrupted by certain attacks, allowing you to reduce the delay between two attacks. Following a swing, using something like a cleave or trip will immediately proc, hitting twice is rapid succession.
  • Mikayl the Pious Lv 11 Fighter Hireling has Dimension Door, he is the GOAT. Bring him with you when you see that it will save you time.

I am at nowhere near the stage where I need everything here, but the information here is still amazingly helpful for me.
Thanks so much for posting these tips!

The reason why Bringing the Light softlocks and I imagine Beyond the Rift and other quests that could softlock from the loading screen trick bugs is likely because quests like Bringing the Light have progression that is tied to the clearing of enemies after loading into an area. Bringing the Light, you're supposed to fight the two guards that will then open the doorway allowing the player to progress further. The loading screen trick allows the player character to load into an area before enemies do, breaking something with the way the game detects eligibility for combat, and the enemies will never aggro onto the player. I only tested this in Bringing the Light so other quests might work differently, but if you just stand still for a moment and wait for the enemies to spawn in then move forward, the quest will function like normal. Beyond the Rift and other quests like it should function the same way, but its hard to know for sure without testing.
