[Rant] The amount of people that join Through A Mirror Darkly...

From high end guilds, pike, and then quit without a word is way too high.
Just act like my group is one of yours. You are too good for me. Leave me alone.
I am very close to no longer putting this group up for LFM. Just like you guys don't put it up.

How often do you Mirror to notice such a specific pattern?

Aye, its rude not to say anything but thats about it. Most people do say something though but a few dont.

In all honesty a lot of people never learned the pathing for the quest because one or two people always carry them in the quest. They just know its pretty good xp and lots of people can get lost and die, so often they pike. It takes like 7-8 minutes to solo that quest if you know it well and nearly half that time if you have people that also know it in the party.

The not saying anything though that's kinda silly. At least saying thanks or tc or something usually obligatory, but I mean common sense is much less common than you'd think nowadays.

Most people jump on it because they are JUST short of heroic cap and it gives horrendous amounts of XP... I see people drop before even looting the (crappy) end chest... if it completes.. they Casper.. I don't honestly mind.. getting thru is nice when they actually participate and don't park in the entry.. splitting up makes it SO much faster

We had a thread on the forums here not that long ago where the poster complained he didn't have time to type hello, etc. And he was the party leader. You can't win no matter what you do LOL.

If you notice patterns of the same people doing this, you can just not accept them.

For example, on Cannith, there's a guy named Purr that everyone just calls "Pikey Purr" because of behavior like this.

You simply type it in for the first person to join and then...<enter> <up arrow> <enter>...Dang, that takes SOOO long.

It can be trouble having people PUG that because you lose track who-has-what-orb.

Best thing is to tell joiners to leave orbs but go gank Auralace and the beholder. A DPS request which most feel good attempting and they will accidentally clear the paths of the southern corridors for you

I have no problem with piking here and there in my pugs so long as I don't see the same person doing it every single quest. I know theres some quests people just don't enjoy running but need to because the exp is good, and through a mirror can get pretty messy if people are disorganized/don't know the route.

That said, yeah not even taking the half a second to type "ty" at the end is kinda ridiculous.

Ever join a group that has zerg down to a religion. I'm talking, by the time you get in & have buffed yourself, they're calling 'voices!'... it completes and you took 5.. maybe 6 steps.... they don't care... as long as everybody was in, got the completion and the xp..

Then it's off to the races....

Fine... you recall, start for the next quest... get in... start buffing.. "VOICES!"

Wait... wut? You gotta be kidding *BLING!"* ?

So that's how it's going to be...

Get out.. RUN for the next quest... get in.. skip buffing...

... everything is dead.. you get half-way in "VOICES!"

Son-OF A *BLING!*

That's it. No more Mr. Nice Guy...

I've had multiple runs of GH like that... it can be full blown insane

It is for sure annoying when people join and dont say anything. And issues with chat are not a good enough excuse because when I join a group and chat isnt working I send the leader a tell. It is just ignorant to join a group and say nothing at all.

A few days ago in a LoD chain run, someone joined and then as soon as we entered rift, they said they had to afk a few to take a MICRONAP! Like you said, you cant win XD

yeah here on Orien we've started posting 'moving fast' or something to that extent like not waiting get in get out and seems to work pretty well. Likewise we often get posts of 'NO ZERGING flower sniffers welcome'

1) Did you have any trouble completing?
2) Did you get full XP?

If you answered Yes to both of these questions then who cares? Yes, it is rude but it doesn't really affect you in any way.
