Rare loot is worst thing ever

The problem with rerolling for rare loot is that the chance is still tiny, even if you spend money.
The even worse part of this is many people wouldn't mind spending money if it was for a guaranteed drop. Or, even just an increased chance if we knew what the actual odds were.

Yeah. Its all pretty terrible. Unfortunately since stupid people keep buying $100 cosmetic mounts we're never going to see these decisions reveres.
Heh? Pay for cosmetics are great. Pay for them if you want , don’t if you don’t want.

Loot that you’ll never obtain after you’ve bought the thing (or obtaining it isn’t fun, remember this is a game ?) is the problem.

I think the description "low effort" used by another poster best sums up my feelings about the new quest. It feels like it took about ten minutes to make and there is nothing interesting about it at all.

It wouldn't be any better if the boss had three, four, five or any other larger number of heads. Plus now that we have a new monster model I'm sure is going to be massively overused in all sorts of nonsensical settings and level ranges for goodness knows how long rather than be only in the parts of the game you'd expect to find it.

Moving towards boring little quests that we pay for individually and in advance for loot that won't drop is a bad direction for the game. If the content is ordinary at best and we can't get the loot we want from it, why should we even bother at all? With these quests or any future content for that matter? And if you are trying to sell us on a new purchasing model for content, shouldn't that content have been good to sell us on the new model?

I think the messages you are giving your players through these decisions is all wrong. Content needs to be interesting and enjoyable enough that we don't have reasons to skip getting it. Loot needs to be attainable so we don't give up. All you are doing now is stacking up reasons for people not to play the game. I know that you see us as addicts but that doesn't mean we can't reach a breaking point with this exploitative nonsense.

Please stop taking your customers for granted by asking for money for stuff like this, and stop trying to rob us by making some loot rare and not even telling us which of it is.

Friggin worst part ever. We have to find out on the forums. I am glad I didn't waste my time on this stupid thing.

Well, to be fair it gets harder to rip us off if they give us the details of how they are trying to rip us off. Better just to keep us, their marks ... I mean valued customers, in the dark as much as possible.

It feels like we are one small step away from some monetisation expert deciding we need special store-bought keys to open end chests at all.

Definitely how it feels these days. Never seen a game with as much active contempt for its customers. Its like a cigarette company owns this game.

I imagine this will happen but the second it does the players will riot. I wonder if they actually can extract enough money from the idiots paying for shard rerolls to keep the lights on?

I have been trying to get the light armor out of Key to the Mythal. The armor is not even that good. I have been trying for more than a month. It is getting very very old.
It took me 4 full months of continuous ransacking with 2 (or sometimes 3, when my TR was in range) toons each week to get the Warblade cloth armor that drops from 2 different quests! This "rare loot" mechanic is borderline a fraud.

It means "Panacea"
Who is this game mechanic for? Isn't loot already rare enough to begin with? What purpose does making it more rare serve?

Getting really strong "Pride and Accomplishment" vibes from this whole situation, and we all know how THAT was received.

I don't get the rare loot either. For whales? Don't whales prefer to get power directly instead of just having a slightly higher chance to get something and still having to waste a TON of time to farm? It's pay to grind. (without rerolls not even worth farming for rares, if you do the saga for rxp and randomly get super lucky ok but waste of time to farm directly IMHO)

As it is you need rare loot to complete sets, so for >99% of the player base it is better to stay with old sets. Because it takes whaling AND super patient grinding or extreme luck to get the items you need. What's the point designing loot for the <1% of the players?

Its kind of even worse that people are paying that much for such a horribly paltry amount of bank space. Kind of ruins it for the rest of us since they'll never sell it at a fair price now.
