I have many, many past lives as a VIP. I never once paid for that. So I doubt your suggestion would have a noticeable im
Alot of us have not played that long and have hundreds of tokens stocked up, especially on Cormyr. Those with 'many many' past lives are not the only people that play DDO. I can see how new players are usually demoralized when they hit level 20 and then realize there is more grinding to be done in order to take advange of having actually gotten to level 20. You need to have the gear to survive epic quests in order to get tokens in order to TR back to level one. If I got say 1-2 hearts per month as a VIP, I would gladly renew my subscription.

Upon reflection and rereading, this producers letter was very rushed and is very devoid of content besides what we already knew was in the works. Anything we did not know about is vague and seems to not be fleshed out. The team is really embracing the Agile / Scrum approach here.

I started looking up 3.5e Dhampir race:

  • They are long lived
  • They have slender builds and pointed ears
  • They have magical abilities
  • They have a +2 DEX and +2 CHA bonus and -2 CON penalty
I think we're getting another elf...
I edited your post as they also get a +2 CHA bonus.

While discussing the server migration with my officers, a question was raised.

Does the original account location of creation determine where we can go OR will it be down to choice? (As there was all the issue to do with Codemasters etc years ago).

Example: Person A created an account while they lived in Germany, and now lives in California and plays from there. With the new server migration, will they be directed to the EU server OR will they have the choice to go wherever (presumably to US server)?

Obviously its the players choice.

Point of origin where the account was originally made isn't a factor for this. There's no "if you made the account while living in [location] you gotta stay on a server near [location]" for this. I'm not ready to get into the nitty gritty details of what steps folks will/won't have to do, but I can tell you that "origin geography" is not going to come into play.

I would assume so, but life experiences have taught me what assumption mean..

Appreciated for that, @Tolero .

Tolero I was reading through the list of races on ddowiki for a possible cleric build and I noticed something surprising: there isn;t a single F2P STR/WIS race.

Is this a DND thing or did you guys simply decide you weren't going to implement a race that offers innate modifiers on STR and WIS?

@Tolero I know its not popular with all players but I was wondering if the team was looking at updating any older content this year to epic or legendary? Some options that still need updating are Threnal (especially to match Delera's), Restless Isles, Tangleroot Gorge or any content that still drops N/H/E/EN/EH/EE tiered loot like Shadowfell or Gianthold.

Really good letter SSG, looking forward to this year. Especially getting my main characters over to 64 bit servers.

Epic Threnal would that lead to an Epic Masters Gift? I would love to see some of the earlier quest packs get an Epic/Legendary version as well, Shan-to-Kar or Sorrowdusk could be really cool.

Definitely need more mid to upper epic quests!

Last year, I was all like, "No Hardcore League this year," so I waited until next year. It's now "next year" and it looks like there's no Hardcore League this year either.

In the totally excited words of Cassie Ainsworth, "Oh. Wow. Lovely."
