19th Anniversary, New Dungeon Content, Return to Ravenloft: Hopeful. I enjoy serious stories with logical, well paced plot development, especially when I actually get to see the end of the story and win by intelligent actions rather than luck or some external agent resolving the situation.

Monk Revamp: Have one monk. Like her a lot. Know very little about this so worried. Read builders and finishers are getting the heave ho. Totally okay with that.

New 64-bit Worlds: Extremely worried. Guilds. Names. Getting trapped on a server with super elite types who grief me. Just want a quiet place to play and be left alone.

Cormyr: Hopeless. Did not even try. I sincerely appreciate the effort to make an event more accessible for someone like me. The problem is that starting over from scratch, building up all the infrastructure to play, and then getting anywhere in a short amount of time--it is too much. Not only that, it takes away from my real characters. Some players reported raid monsters randomly appearing in regular quests. That is not for me.

Dragon Disciple, New Raid, VIP Rewards, PAX East, Dhampir,: No interest. Yay for people who like that stuff.

Live Event: Druid's Deep is a good story. Strongly disliked Feywild. Could have good rewards. Could have terrible rewards. Could be playable. Could be unplayable. A lot of uncertainty around this one.

Finally, Year of the Dragon was great. It brought me back to play three or 4 times when I otherwise would have stayed away.

German, or at least what I've heard termed "hochdeutsch" specifically. I'm still learning the nuances of Austrian and Swiss Deutsch and other dialects. Although I'm told that I when I do speak it, that I have a Black Forest accent apparently.

My wife apparently has a Berlin accent... speaking Austrian.

I'm more concerned about people who spend years playing together would be forcefully split between US and EU servers.
And some might be agree to go into US servers but won't be able to play due high ping with the new servers' location.

Well, that's inevitable.

But... What happens if, let's say, guild leader will go to US, while the guildies, that worked hard to level up the guild, get the best ship and amenities (maybe even spent some $$$ for the Astral Shards to get some of the guild's amenities), went to EU ? One person gets everything ? Can't imagine others would be happy. 😅
People aren’t forced; they will have choices. And I am sure there will be guilds recruiting on all servers. I’ve never had trouble finding guilds on all servers and most had all the amenities.

Yeah. Such a "great" choice : either transfer to new 64bit servers or lose everything when the 32bit servers will go off-line permanently.

I’ve never had trouble finding guilds on all servers and most had all the amenities.
That's only a part of the problem.
What if one person created a guild and another pay in Astral shards for the largest ship ? And they are going to transfer to the different servers ? Who are going to get the guild ? And the ship ? 😏Why should a person who spent some real money to buy something lost access to it because the guild leader went to a different server ?

I don't work for SSG- I pay their bills.
5 Dex races currently, 3 Cha, 2 Con, 2 Wis, 2 Int, and only 1 Str. If this one is another dex race, please tell us more how you dislike melee's and want ranged toons to be even more superior. With lot's of ranged-friendly raid mechanics in the recent raids, it makes sense. Though there ARE melee friendly mechanics (Skellies, getting the deflect off the trash), the fire spreading in Threats is the most egregious Anti-Melee Mechanic.

As someone else stated though, excited for another Racial Action Point. The free raid on Lama was fun, so I've got good hopes for the raid (if there is one) in the new expansion later this year.

I want to stay positive, but am only feeling somewhat apprehension at what’s coming, and somewhat agree with Alternative’s post about spreading our player base thinly.

So US based server, and European based servers. Part of the reason the player base has survived, is growing in guilds, some of which have taken years to develop. Some people say "oh they don't have a problem finding new guilds", but teams develop - and this is what forms the willingness of players to continually subscribe to DDO. I must admit, I’m somewhat curious as to the demographics of the players (as they’ll have some idea with currency payments, IP, etc) to where people are located when playing DDO.

The other thing, I’m curious about too is that some guilds have some players who have died and they keep them on the guild roster, than ejecting them.

On a side note, we’ll all be like those players who have in their bio, “I played Fernia” or “I was there on Devourer”, to “I was there on Orien…”.

So in looking at this "hypothetical" concern of yours, for this situation the guild leader will probably get the guild because the guild leader currently already owns the guild. People who donated astral shards currently have no ownership/control over the guild unless if they are made an officer but even then still have less control of the guild than the guild leader who can boot everyone else from the guild regardless of any contributions they made, astral shard or otherwise.

What is it that you would propose should be the resolution to this (not really new) issue?

I think that the Overlord anime started that way.

The guy got stuck in game permanently because he fell asleep while logged in and the servers did their final shut down...

*cough* I Want To Believe *cough*

Also, none of the toons I have left on G-land can transfer to Orien at this point... hopefully they won't get left behind.
Just be happy they're working on another elf race for the monster manual once they fix it.

If they fix it.

Whatever, they don't care and won't fix it.

I am curious why would we need multiple 64 bit servers? That is the number one problem. Players spread far too thin creating an empty feeling world.
I am curious how many players the 64 bit platform can really handle? All DDO players should gather on Cormyr at a specified time to really give it a test lol.

This would be a great time to release FREEDDO2025 to give Cormyr a population growth test. Cordovan said he was hoping to get 1500+ consecutive players to really test it out. There are currently only 436 players online at the moment and i havent seen it reach 700 yet.

They haven't confirmed or denied a new code coming out. Usually LOTRO got a code then we did. I don't recall them getting a code for end of '24/into '25..

And to recap, the quest codes were issued after the first six months of the COVID pandemic. SSG had unlocked all content for everyone because people were quantined/confined. Following this, SSG said, "We have seen our communities come together in recent months as we unlocked quest, raid, and adventure area content to all players, and we are excited to make an announcement today that you'll want to read. We would like to thank you for supporting us! To start, players can continue to enjoy all of our quests, raids, and expansion content for free through August 31st, 2020. We would also like to provide a way for you to move forward with your gaming when our event eventually comes to an end"

It's five years on after this. It'd be nice to see it back, but am not holding my breath.

Oh my god... NO MORE ELVES!!!!! no more pointy eared twink slender people and certainly no more -2 con races...

How about instead of whatever you guys are gonna do how about adding Kobold, Kalashtar, Genasi, Lizardfolk, Yuanti-Pureblood, Goliath.

This Dhampir seems almost exactly like a undead elf in 3.5 the 5e version for once seems better do away with the -2 con and do+2 cha and +2 int make them a undead caster race with undead racial form and crazy healing from both negative and positive healing would make them unique and have a place otherwise they resemble drow to much not just the pointy ears make them resemble humans not elfs since dhampir can be any race then we can let this one slide...

Someone please enlighten me on why everyone is saying Dhampirs are a mix of elf? To be fair I didn't know too much about them before I read the producers letter, but after looking them up every source I'm reading says they're a cross between human and vampire. Someone please explain where this elf talk is coming from.
