To anyone who works at SSG,
Can we please update how disjunction interacts with reaper bonuses on gear in essence crafting?
Currently, disjunction's description states that it "removes all existing enchantments." In practice, everything is stripped except for curses. I may be one of the first players to spend 75 reaper fragments upgrading an item, only to discover the hard way that the reaper bonus doesn't survive disjunction. The system clearly has the technology to let certain enchantments (e.g. Deck of Many Curses) persist through disjunction, so why can't reaper bonuses be treated the same way?
I submitted a ticket to SSG support and received this response:
"We are sorry to hear you've experienced this issue. Indeed, items lose all its effects and bonuses when you disjunct them, it is intended. For this reason we are not able to credit the fragments you used as it is stated that disjuncting an item will strip all its magical properties."
Even this response doesn't line up with how the crafting system actually behaves today. If disjunction is truly meant to strip everything, the current mechanics need to be brought in line with that statement. Or, better yet, reaper bonuses should be protected the same way other enchantments are (this would be a better gameplay experience for all players).
