Reaper Endgame Bladeforged Arcane Trickster

I was looking at Primal Avatar for a Epic Destiny possibility, what gear procs was the SD T5 build looking for Earth/Fire/Electric Atunement/Dots?
If you play rune arm, then obviously you’ve got a peg leg… rune arms are terrible.
In the end I was using the FoM one for Dripping with Magma. Then you have the two ring slots (I was using the artifact with Water Attunement and acid on the other one) and the crossbow.

Eminence of Autumn set bonus 3 gives +6% Artifact Bonus to Universal Spell Crit chance

Why are you also slotting in the Solar Augment (Artifact) +6% Spell Crit chance also? Thats a rare pull

Seems a waste or do thet stack somehow?

Solar artifact augment is a potency style set and the Autumn set is a true universal style set, so both stacks.

Yes, it is confusing. There is not a different nomenclature for the 2 type of sets. But have stacked for ages (at very last since Sharn).

Pay close attention to the artifact caster sets, because some are true universal, others are potency style, and it's normal to use both. The nomenclature doesn't help - you have to learn which ones are one type and which ones are another.

Yes, but they don't have different names, which is absurd. It's no wonder so many people get confused.
But they have. Aug is Spell Critical Chance, Autumn set bonus to Universal Spell Crit Chance. Seems enough different for me.

No, it's not clear. Elder's set is universal, and it doesn't say anything about being universal in its description, just to give one example. DDO descriptions are very inconsistent, and in this particular case, it's complete chaos. It's perfectly normal for people to be confused. What's not normal is such chaos in names and descriptions.

You invite DDO corrupt a wish.

It's about as clear as dirt. I made image cheat sheet that I link to folks for it (and a suggestion thread to change how stuff is labeled https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?th...ersal-spell-crit-to-profane-spell-crit.26740/ )

Hey Tronko, love the build and the guide.
a few questions if you don't mind.
1) will todays changes to meta magics/spell affects alter this builds build, gear or playstyle, (or just change some numbers and nothing to do about that)
2) I don't want to get too much into the leveling questions, as its not the focus. the one leveling question I do want to ask is weapons. when/what did you change to crossbow at ? aka, I use caster sticks in heroics, but thinking that by epics I now have enough sneak dice enhancments from Xbow trees to be wroth switching to an xbow (and I can use the runearm in epics)- I found that using the firestorm conduit staff from Sharn was nice for my firelore+sp, and arcane augmentation to give me an additional MMs!
3) while this build has been super fun to play in Heroics - aoe damage just sucks sucks sucks. do you use the alchmenical traps a lot ? Either in leveling, or at endgame ?
4) the Wiz PL for the MM - do you use that for just leveling where having an extra nice cast 10 per rest is usefull, or also at endgame ? -- wondering if to swap it out. -- it doesn't count for a SA die, correct ?
thanks.

Hey!

The DC changes are irrelevant for the way I played trickster. I never relied on spell DCs, only on Disable.
The reduction to proc damage effects like magma is ofc relevant, but a trickster built for dps is still certainly top tier.
I'm not the best person to ask about heroic leveling. I play heroics very rarely because I don't enjoy it, and I don't really have leveling gear. The only things I usually care about while leveling are movement speed and sprint boost.
3) while this build has been super fun to play in Heroics - aoe damage just sucks sucks sucks. do you use the alchmenical traps a lot ? Either in leveling, or at endgame ?
Yes, on my trickster mechanic I used the flasks quite often, even in R10 endgame content. I posted a short clip somewhere on the forum showing it. They're basically the only AoE tool you have available.
4) the Wiz PL for the MM - do you use that for just leveling where having an extra nice cast 10 per rest is usefull, or also at endgame ? -- wondering if to swap it out. -- it doesn't count for a SA die, correct ?
thanks.
Wiz PL is the strongest thing for Trickster and provides a massive dps boost. Definitely keep it.

If I were to take this build and make it a staff user. How would you change the feats if any and what would your starting stats be.

How does nimble fingers give +1 SA Die? the feat says nothing about it.

yep its really kind of a waste of ap if u dont go crossbow in comparison
its seems strange or the wording is wrong or its not working as intended the mechanic tree says nothing about adding to your spells as sneak att damage, it just says ranged.

That's because sneak attack added to spells is only a trickster thing, at level 8. The wording in the mechanic tree basically just says you gain sneak attack while using(having equipped) a non-repeating crossbow
