This is your final weekend! The boost continues through Tuesday, February 18th, being shut off during our downtime next Wednesday.

Would it take too much manpower to just extend it thru April? This event is freaking brutal.

I have not filled a lantern yet.

Got to 265 HC. Died

Started to fill the mount SC lantern, got to 250 and asked what I was doing with my life when I saw the 2k max to fill

Started on the shield because the other stuff does not interest me. Up to 365.

Please Gods of DDO save me from this event.

TLDR; this post to remind people to login will be the signal for many to give up on the event for good.

You are not going to reach the goals for Cormyr logins because of decisions like this.

Starting when the worlds reopen from our weekly maintenance on Wednesday, January 22nd until 9:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT) on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, players of all account types can access Cormyr. After this event ends, VIP access will once again be required in order to access the server. Character transfers to or from Cormyr will not be available. Cormyr is a fresh start server featuring the Lanterns in the Mists event, which you can read more about on DDO.com! Cormyr’s open access will run through the conclusion of the Lanterns in the Mist event.
@Cordovan
What happens to April 16th, 2025,?
I hope only for Boost not change of main event

That's the end date for the event they posted.
Agreed, but they probably should have just kept the bonus on the rest of the season. Many of the people still working on lanterns are the ones that need the boost the most.

Extending the bonus would most likely generate some goodwill and perhaps be beneficial to SSG if players on Cormyr are spending more money than they would on their main server.

OK. Good to know.

I am only at 500 approx, so I can go back to my 32bit Argonesson and beg forgiveness from my guild, since I was on Cormyr and not there.

Im the same. My friends have been on Cormyr for months but I only started recently.

Im at about 500 so wont be running the 400 dungeons I'd need to fill up the lantern. I will get to a Favor level Im okay with (maybe 2k) and then stop.

They will likely keep playing for a few weeks while they finish off their lanterns and I will go back to WOW.

They are returning to Argo when the new Monk archetype is out - though only for the past lives - which feel really weak.

Gonna toss this out here, for what it's worth. Cormyr pretty much unplayable today. Maybe extend the bonus thru next weekend and we can roll the lag-dice again.
Agreed. Or just keep the bonus on.

I had problems logging on, getting into quests, while in quests, getting out of quests, you name it. I only did two quests and then couldn't finish out of the second quest - had to get out of the game. Not worth playing. Heading over to Argo now. I Hope that's better or it's a Civ V night for me :).

Cordovan did look into it and made the call it was fine. Nobody else seems to be having a good experience with Cormyr this weekend.

Cormyr has been fine. Well, unless you need to log in, log out, use the bank, craft, manage inventory, use the auction house, enter a quest, or exit one. Just avoid those, and it's all good. ;)

For the record, I also hope the +50% bonus is extended. Today was a wash, and without intervention (or an exorcism), I can't imagine Sunday will be any better.

Had my hopes up that it had magically fixed itself before Cordy took his look, apparently commenting on some off-world platform.

Shyte is definitely NOT fine. I had 2 pieces of mail, clicked on one to remove the plat and it took 1 minute 17 seconds to complete. Got my phone to record the second mail retrieval and it took about a minute. ...then realized I hadn't hit the record button. Gah.

So anyway, midnight, server time. Still *****. (edit: Really???? f u b a r is filtered? This place, srsly.)

As others have posted, Cormyr has been almost unplayable this weekend.... 5 to 10 minutes of waiting for item to sell off at vendor, same with bank, same with loading screens upon dungeon entry and exit. Frequent freezes in dungeons. One party member was lagged deathed and lost his skull lantern because of lag, poor guy. Extending boost would be a nice thing to do.

Cheers

Husband and me filled all of our non skull lanterns before the boost started with playing 2 hours a day, a bit more on weekends with no problems. Even had a skull lantern filled to 800 and tossed it after seeing the reward pics. Since the difference in the skull and non skull lantern rewards is hardly noticable, just do the normal ones. Event runs til middle of April, so there is still plenty of time to fill your lanterns!
And that even with the really bad lag on cormyr in the beginning of the event.
