Reminder: The +50% Lantern Durability Boost runs through February 18th

Hang on, so the 7 points we get per dungeon is going to drop to 3 or 4 next week??

I assume potions of lantern boost will be in the store next weekend.
7 WITH the boost? What are you playing on Casual?

The tougher stalkers gave 12+ per kill on reaper, with the boost (and the corrected reaper lantern durability increase) you should be getting 16-18 per stalker on elite and up.

Still a grind, but we had all five filled before the Server was opened to Premium/FTP.

Also, when you get up into higher level quests you have lots of tougher spawns + whispers which give you more durability. The Head of the Beast is brutal, but killing it gives you 50 durability. There are plenty of groups doing durability farming in low-mid epics to finish filling up lanterns quickly

Husband and me filled all of our non skull lanterns before the boost started with playing 2 hours a day, a bit more on weekends with no problems. Even had a skull lantern filled to 800 and tossed it after seeing the reward pics. Since the difference in the skull and non skull lantern rewards is hardly noticable, just do the normal ones. Event runs til middle of April, so there is still plenty of time to fill your lanterns!
And that even with the really bad lag on cormyr in the beginning of the event.
Congrats on your completions. However, just because there was time to complete before this weekend doesn’t negate the fact that others counted on capitalizing on this weekend’s bonus and were unable to through no fault of their own. There has been precedent where players received some sort of minor in-game compensation when the game was being quirky, and extending the event another weekend isn’t unreasonable to hope for.

On elite the regular give 7 and greater give 15.

The bonus has been going since Cormyr opened to non VIP's. And VIP's had a very rough start on Cormyr, where it was nearly unplayable for weeks. We did not get any bonus and the Lantern of the Order only gained very little durability, even with the very tough stalkers. With the 50% bonus and correct durabilty gain now, time left on the event should be more than enough to finish filling the Lanterns.

Agreed.

People have opinions on how long things should take and of course there are always a few players that will argue strongly not to give benefits to others if they don't need it.

I don't know whether SSG will extend the bonus, but there are many people still working on rewards. I don't personally need more time, but it seems like a no-brainer goodwill gesture to extend the bonus. The people still working on rewards are the people that need the bonus the most.

Yes this is the right answer.

Today our Extreme Mortal Voyage Permadeath crew playing in the Chainmail guild hammered the lantern farming in low epics. We smashed the Head of the Beast over and over again with our skull lantern guys, both reaper and elite as needed. We pounded over 2500 durability today amongst several lanterns that needed it. Doing it this way is much easier for earning durability assuming you have a strong group of players. Someone from another unnamed guild requested joining our group but was declined due to the guild they were running in, within the hour that person’s death notification was there for all to see, so definitely dont run the head of the beast in a weak guild.

My boyfriend and I have collected the rewards for all 10 lanterns and nonare helping other guild members fill in their lanterns. If you are one of the people out there and feel you are not getting the right support to run your lanterns consider switching your guild and joining Chainmail, you will find people that will help you. We will be on with our Permadeath crew to help any other guild members fill their lanterns.
