Removal of the reincarnation cache if you perma buy coin lords and Kundarak inventory and bank space

The title says it all already, even though it seems strange to me. Some players enjoy the reincarnation cache, but why not find a win-win compromise for SSG and players who don't like the reincarnation cache?

Let's propose a solution: For a payment of maybe 5000 DDO points, all your characters will permanently unlock the Coin Lords and Kundarak inventory and bank space. Additionally, no items will be moved to your reincarnation cache anymore, and there will be no need to empty it before you TR.

I know some players see the reincarnation cache as additional space and don't want to lose it for that reason. Even though I'm convinced that this is most likely based on a misconception, I want to respect such players and try to find a good compromise that doesnt affect players if they dont want to be affected.
I know I certainly do. I have gear that I don't need for some lives so I leave it cached. It maxes out my personal bank and inventory when I go to TR and I rely on it going back to TR cache to make the player playable.

Note that my characters that do this do not have their personal bank slots maxed. I could buy more to alleviate the problem but since they are forcing me to the use the TR cache, I might as well get some benefit for it. If SSG removed the TR cache by keeping the Favor bank slots, I would buy more bank slots for these characters giving even more $ to SSG.

Why would players support a badly designed TR/Inventory system, and what is more paying for it????
That means the chance falls below zero SSG will change or improve it in the future.

It would be much easier to introduce a new system like Houseing where U can keep your items
Also can be sold for DDO points
If you ask me, I would suggest removing all character banks and reincarnation caches and consolidating everything into a single account bank. This would result in almost all items being bound to account (BTA) instead of bound to character (BTC). Such a change would simplify the item bank system in DDO by providing one central repository for all stored items within your account.

By adopting this approach, players would have a larger pool of items accessible through their account. The addition of housing, while providing extra space, unnecessarily complicates the process of locating items. It becomes a tedious task to determine if an item is stored on a specific character's mule or in their inventory or character bank. With housing, the uncertainty extends to which chest (A, B, C, D, etc.) the item might be in.

Instead, I propose having one unified bank that houses all items, along with each character retaining their individual inventory for immediate questing requirements. Of course, I would also recommend revamping the inventory system, such as removing bags and many more, but that is a separate topic altogether.

I can now confidently tell you that the actual space gain from that cache is approximately 60 slots (at least, that's my own evaluation). Considering all the fuss with that cache, I firmly believe it is clearly not worth it!

But as my grandma used to say, "Des Menschen Wille ist sein Himmelsreich" So, if you think the cache is fine, I respect your opinion, even though I believe that if you seriously contemplate the problem, there's a high chance you might change your mind.

However, I still hope that SSG removes the TR cache and the need for it because losing Kunarak and coin lord's bank and inventory space after a TR is burdensome for people like me who strongly dislike it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it. I would prefer a solution that did not require it. I am just not going to give them $$ to get those 60ish slots AND have to put up with the TR cache. If they are making me use it, I will keep my dollars thank you.

With such a system, I would even be fine with BTC remaining and being stored in the account bank but only the character who its bound to being able to remove it. All the other characters can see it but not be able to remove it. BTC only needs to be a limitation on equiping or using and not necessarily on where it gets stored (or even putting into a backpack for that matter).

Ironically with all the extra bank space sold recently those tr caches can be quite huge now. Coin lord favor literally happens first 2 hours of a TR or less.

/Not signed, but good thread to get the discussion started.

I would prefer a better solution.. Maybe character storage locker space similar to guild ship chests if adding more bank space isn't a workable option. Obviously adding more bank space that isn't tied to an 8k bundle seems like something people are interested in.

I have never understood after the way Iconic gear is in a chest the Devs did not simply take the same approach with the TR Cache. Just limit it to open in public areas only.

There are several issues with the reincarnation cache. It provides a wildcard for SSG when it comes to adding more storage to the game, as some people use their Reincarnation Cache as a tertiary bank for items they'll use throughout their leveling process rather than using their normal character bank or shared bank. It's also a roadblock when it comes to reincarnating again as you need to completely empty your cache before you're able to reincarnate.

If they were to eliminate the reincarnation cache then all of your items could remain on your character, in their inventory, and in their bank without any sort of overflow. That would defeat the purpose of the cache. The benefits is that it would give SSG a much more static number for storage space, possibly allowing them to add additional character bank or shared bank slots. It would also add the benefit of making reincarnation an easier process, removing one of the potential roadblocks.

The only people that would lose out are the ones that rely on using the reincarnation cache as a 'leveling bank' filling up their character bank with more junk as they go through the game and sorting stuff out whenever they're ready to reincarnate again.
Would it honestly be so bad to just let characters keep the kundarak and coin lord favor permanently? Just make them past life feats? We get to keep the really valuable ones (vistani, feydark) earned through favor each life, why not just these, too?

They don't even need to be feats. It's similar to any other character based unlock, like when you can access Vistani Knife Fighter enhancement tree by achieving 180 Keepers of the Feather favor. You gain the benefit of accessing that tree permanently on that character, even across reincarnation.

No. It honestly would not be bad to let the character keep the slots permanently.

While it looks good on paper. SSG ability mess up a simple fix is legendary. I could only imagine the disaster that would follow should SSG ever do such a thing. No, it is better to leave the TR Cache alone. But that is my opinion.
