Reset launcher Problem

Since last update I have issues with my launcher:

Every time I log in the launcher is reset: it shows the cinematic, puts all settings on default, that means everytime I login I have to reset audio, graphics, etc, which is really annyoing. I ran the repair button of the the launcher already, I updated the graphic cards etc. nothing helped yet.

The the error message : DirectX hardware detected (135) (134) also shows up everytime.

Any ideas? Using windows 11 btw.

Thank you.

My first guess is that OneDrive is running on your computer. DDO's config files are in the documents folder and OneDrive will constantly overwrite them causing things to reset. Turning off OneDrive (or jumping thru hoops to make it not touch the DDO folder in documents) would solve the issue.

Thanks a lot, will try it!

I'm having essentially the same problem, but a bit worse (imo). The cinematic tries to play and I can hear it in the background, but it keeps minimizing itself and adjusting the window proportions of everything else that is open.

The support answered me, here is their solution, which really helped me solving the problem:

Msinfo

1. Press the Windows key and 'R' on your keyboard.
2. Please type "msinfo32" (without quotation marks) in the field and then click "OK".
3. When the System Summary window opens, click "File" in the menu bar at the top and then click "Save". Please do not use the "Export" function!
4. The saving process may take some time, so please wait until the progress bar is full. Then you can close the application.

Dxdiag

1. Press the Windows key and 'R' on your keyboard.
2. Please type "dxdiag" (without quotation marks) in the field, and then click "OK".
3. Wait until the green progress bar is full, and then select "Save all information..." to save the file.
4. Click "Exit" to close the application.
