Returned Recently - Interested In Figuring Out Something Fun To Wrap up Pl's & Start Gear Farming

Hey folks,

Long story short, I took a 6-ish month break, ended up coming back a week or two ago. I really enjoy casters, and was thinking of hammering out my remaining lives on a caster build. I was playing stormsinger as of late, and really enjoy it, but seems like damage is still a bit on the low end. Kinda curious as to what the 'best dps mage' is at the moment. Ideally hoping for something that can do the usual 1-30 quickly, and still be viable in R10's for dino mats & gear farming along the way. Of course, usual suspects like Druid, and sorc pop to mind - but I'd love to get your thoughts as I'm not sure what's been nerfed, changed or adjusted as of late.

Ice druid (fire for leveling until you get ice flowers)/fire sorc/fire alch are the top casters at the moment.

For 20, a really nice universal caster set is:
Mainhand: Impulse Scepter from BL (sentient)
Offhand: Forum Post of your element/The Drowned orb
Esoteric Initiate set
Gem of Many Facets with ins spellpower of your type and shamans/abishai set
Elder's Neck+Hat
Shaman's Ring
Spinneret
BL belt of your element at 21 (Black Satin Waist before)
Charged Gauntlets
Boots of Corrosion
Cloak open (spell absorb, feather falling swap, etc.)
