Returning player completely lost

I've been away from the game due to life reasons, and only recently can afford to play. That being the case I am completely lost. Anyone I knew from the game hasn't played in a decade. If there is anyone willing to help me reorient myself (level 16 monk) provide in game guidance I would be super appreciative. In game character is Eadwyn Swindhelm, Orien server.

Welcome back! Orien should be busy since SSG offered free transfers to that server a few years ago,

ddowiki.com is a great resource; building a new toon might not hurt.

Is your Monk a 28-point build?

check out the official discord. the guild recruiting channel has some guilds for new/returning players.

A lot has changed in the last 10 years. +1 to the ddowiki, it is a great help. Just take it one quest/question at a time.

Before you mess with your old toon, I suggest rolling up a new one to experiment with a bit. We have had changes to the enhancement trees, loot, a reaper difficulty system, epic destinies, sentient gems and feat changes. So if you start with a new toon from scratch for a bit, you can make mini mistakes and be fine.

There are players that have made new toon designs with feats, enhancements etc laid out for folks—a wonderful service—so I suggest you follow one for a bit!

Orien has a massive player community due to server transfers some time ago. Great for grouping, bad for lagging.
