U81: Sub-slimes that split from slime enemies will no longer spawn Reapers or become Champions.

That’s not how I read it; you can still split slimes, they just won’t be champions or spawn additional reapers, I guess. So splittable slimes are [one of] the nice things we cannot have?
No in fact they were actually weaker version of the original and you could pound out serious remnants thru them, but seeing as they are working towards eating up the remnants economy this change does not surprise me in the least. That’s not how I read it; you can still split slimes, they just won’t be champions or spawn additional reapers, I guess.
Were champion slime segments just organelles of the original…

I just ran that one with my brother and I couldn't help but single-pop the slimes enough to pull dungeon alerts. There was definitely a bit of pucker factor with it. I hate to say it, but I kinda enjoyed getting cussed out by him.Heh. Wizard of Wines specifically comes to mind.
Probably would be less fun if I didn’t have as good AOE. Never even occurred to me to farm slimes for remnants(?), btw.
Reaperbombs is a great term. This was fun but I understand why it’s gone. I think this patch note is giving a spotlight to a phenomenon I’ve never seen brought up here before. Will people really be bothered by this change…?
Try being an Arcane Trickster who gets stuck in the timeout zone in Relentless by yourself and tell me how much fun it was.I see also that helmed horrors will be merely immune to force instead of healing from it. Whew! We can't have a mechanic that punishes blind spamming now can we! What a relief!
