Demon Engine is not redundant to BiS Repeater which is Lash

a craftable force shot with spell power and spell lore . + insightful spell power has nightmare guard as well
Teir V but IV for imbue 2d12 force damages per hit x200% ranged power
this is where i get my spell power and lore for TD and Arcane Tempest.

Light Repeating Gnome is DPS+9% over Eladrin's extra DS+6% and 50s of sneak. The critical bonus is significant.

Non-repeater? Sure, but you'd not be playing a Gnome. Really!? Really, really? Who'd want that?

I guess if your 15/5 art DL sure, but 20 art already gets the Crit range from t5 BE and Aladdin can get 3 hit dmg Crit dmg also, I don't think its as clear cut as you make it. And gnomes are stubby

Eladrin have a bunch of great stuff for your 19 free points including self cast displacement and that zip forward thing. Also heavy repeaters are slightly better dps than light.

Now let me contradict myself a bit. If they ever made a decent light crossbow, I'd go back. I love the look of gnomes.

The only benefit gnomes have over eladrin for artificer is short races have better improved precise shot but nobody uses that anymore anyway.

Their critical threat bonus is competence and doesn't stack unless you take the melee bonus in artificer instead for the bonus hit points?

Or unless you get your Critical Multiplier from somewhere else, such as say DL T5 for CM+2. Then the CR+1 stacks.

Beware the Gnome with 16x5 profile taking a bead on your knees!

Wait.... can you say that again without the abbreviations.... it sounds like you are saying there are critical threat multis that stack and I did not know that.... let me better track which ones you are talking about.

Critical Multiplier and Critical Threat Range usually come from the same tree node and usually it's CM+1 and CR+1. However, you can grab them from different trees and mash them together. Also, greater overwrites lesser. So, CM+2 from Dragon Lord T5 combines with CR+1 from Gnome.

This ends up giving Gnome a 16x5 profile after Patience compared to 16x4 for pure Arti or 17x5 non-Gnome Arti+DragonLord.

I used to love it back in the day when we had the old manyshot.

Now with aoe attacks the damage penalty makes no sense to use.
