Sacred Fist/Dragon Lord/Monk 14/5/1

I am trying to flesh out a 14/5/1 build.

Thinking that I can get the Handwrap playstyle that I enjoy while having some better CC than a pure SF and getting some Monk stances.

I am struggling with the level/feat/class order for this though.

I want:
TWF, ITWF, GTWF
Swords to Plowshares, Improved Crit
Precision
Two Weapon Defense
Adept, Master and Grandmaster of Forms

I'd love to be able to take Monk at level 1 so I can get those bonus skill points.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated!

Played around with it...I think this is the best level set up.

I wanted my 5 Level of Dragon Lord at 12, but just couldn't squeeze it in and get the feats that I wanted.

For AP...haven't really looked that hard. Def want:
T5 DL and C2 DL (36 AP)
T4 and C4 SF (unsure as of yet...looks like 29+)
T2 and C1 in Sacred Defender (want the extra LoH and the +15 PRR/MRR (total of 8 AP)

The amount I put into Racial trees would depend on Race and how many Racial Points I have.

It is a great concept. I did one as bladeforged with a LR at lvl 30 so no monk at level 1 or orherwise useful leveling order. I skipped grandmaster of forms (str based).

Lvling order was very tight but I went WWA for an extra cleave during heroic leveling. At cap I’m considering spec’ing out for precision and quicken. I decided I didn’t need Grand Master of Forms since I was primarily fire and 1 str wasn’t worth the feat slot. The epic destiny options are also quite fun. Currently t5 DC t4 fury t3 shadow dancer. Went aaasimar for the 10 MP / short str/ DS buff.

I can post the ddobuilder summary when I get home on Monday.

Never noticed that Master of Forms Sunstance has the x1 crit.
For some reason I always thought you needed grandmaster.

That sounds about right. Go further in Sacred Defender and pick up +6 strength.

This is. Fun build because you can do extra speed from sacred fist, monk, and defender stance.

If you raid or even group with others I wouldn’t do SD. The +threat flips targets too much. Even at -80 I pull from tanks in LH sometimes. You can ki shout if needed to tank in groups where you are the beefiest member.

You can respec for raids, or just turn off the stance for raid boss fights. It kind of sucks when you go far into the tree since many of the points spent rely on having the stance on, but it's perfectly doable, especially when you've only got the low hanging fruit

This is a good mix but know that the range from 14 SF's Holy Sword or 10% Doublestrike from Zeal is great but is not the bread and butter of everything.
You could pop in more levels of monk (2) to get an extra feat you need while opening some goodies from Monk such as the 10% extra movement speed and Philosophy.

With T2-3 Shintao you can easily grab another 28%* Doublestrike (Quick Strike & Fast Hands), +2hit & +3dmg, 20 PRR and other great Attacks (such as Fists of Iron or Unbalancing Strike).

I would personally go 12 SF/5 DL/3 Mnk and not put so many points in the Sacred Fist tree. The DL acid imbue is good enough (and can switch to SF fire if need to).
Edit: If you decide to use Fire Stance, you only need Master of Forms for the extra 19-20 multi. The 1 point of extra strength isn't worth it so you can skip out on Grandmaster.

The primary reason to go SF is holy sword. If you don’t do that I think 14 monk / 6 DL might be better.
The one thing Sacred Fist/DL combo has over the monk/DL combo is just maxing CHR vs WIS and CHR/STR.

Though I guess STR based MNK/DL would have better DPS, but all (or most) the MNK CC abilities are WIS based.

I do agree though. I Holy Sword. Heck I love all the spells a pure SF gets. I've done a ton of those lives
Just wish it had some CC other than Drifting Lotus.
