I like to carry a stack of healer kits, especially during HC. Imagine the surprize of a low level toon laying in pink mode getting back on their feet. The usefulness quickly is replaced when wands/scrolls become available.

Btw What are Quest XP Elixirs? I've never heard of XP Elixir that works exclusively in quests. And I think we are long past the point where these kind of 'mistakes' are made..
