Those double ddo points are tempting, but seeing as how I got screwed with shop timing last time, the fact that I still cant buy a tome of epic learning under level 20, and there is still no "thankyou2025" coupon I will pass. Thank you.

Edit: I am one of those returning players, and **** is looking grim.

Week 6 (and counting) of THANKYOU2025 not being reactivated as promised. I know, technically, "upcoming weeks" could include anything from now to eternity, but under colloquial use, the bait-n-switch is real.
They’ll make it available just as soon as the new 64 bit servers are running smoothly.

After the massive nerf to tumble a while back, the code should really be TROLLINYOURROLLIN.

Nerf to movement speed option.
Buff to dodge bonus for squishy characters during combat that actually works well as life saver if someone really tried and reflex bonus in case if someone have problems to survive some traps.
It is useful if used correctly in practice.
I do not like charges, but current bonuses would make it feel too overpowered in case of unlimited use (attack and tumble loop - bonuses are still there after animation for enough time to make some quick action between), so it should be used wisely in resource management.

Alright.
Now, all new tumble haters can start to attack me...

As i have predicted back on September 3rd, you will not see that code available until October, it will be used to boost their 4th quarter login numbers for the shareholders.
You're probably right (or alternatively, they never meant to release it to everyone but got caught and had to make up a story on the spot). But that's not gonna stop me from complaining about it, because if they don't intend to release it soon, they should bloody come out and say so.

They’ll make it available just as soon as the new 64 bit servers are running smoothly.
Which is why I called it a bait-and-switch, because the story keeps changing and it's honestly not a good look. They never said they need to get the servers running smoothly before releasing, they said the team's too busy to release it (/doubt) and they will reactivate in a few weeks. In colloquial use, "upcoming weeks" means 2-3 weeks not 6+ and counting, so by lying all they're doing is building bad faith and distrust.

It was just a joke. Don’t over analyze jokes.

Yeah, they lost a not insignificant number of players over that nerf. They will never be able to monetize those pots enough to make up for that lost revenue. Amazing that they cling to this ‘cut the nose off to spite the players’ mentality when they could just let the art department churn out cosmetics people have asking for for years.

Think someone at SSG needs to take a basic business class at the local JC.

I think it's VERY ARROGANT of SSG to expect us to spend any money on points until they provide some type of make right for the cluster fox trot the game has been since the forced server merge. Personally, I will not be supporting the game with my usual $200 purchase of DDO points whenever the bonus comes around... And I've been involved with the game since Asherons Call 2 players were invited to help beta test the game before original launch. But I feel this is the best option to express my feelings. I'm vip; I support the game through buying the collectors edition of every expansion; I buy DDO points whenever they have a bonus. This time I'm not going to and it's SSG's fault. I want the game to succeed, I love DDO and the friendships I've forged here, but I'm not spending any more money on the game until I feel that those that support the game are acknowledged with some real make right option from the company.

"We know you're all waiting on a coupon that we regularly give out which gives away lots of free content, but right now the lag is too big of a problem to do that. How about instead you spend LOTS OF MONEY to buy points and we'll give you a slightly larger amount of bonus points?"

If the horrible interactions and attitudes of customer service and certain developers hadn't already made we swear off giving SSG any cash over a year ago, the deafening silence and lack of any attempt to make it up to players definitely would have.

You hit the nail on the head and formulated it better than I could over multiple posts.

It's not so much the withholding of the code as such, it's the bull that comes with it.
