There's a lot of misplaced rage on these forums. The fact that a person is offended by an old item going on sale is more a testament to the temperament of that person.

There was overlap with this pack and the choose-your-own-discount last time and this pack was up to 30% off last time depending on what coupon code you paired with it. People were upset last time that they'd used the 30% codes on other stuff before the coffer was offered; maybe those that didn't buy because of that will buy it this time and good for them, it's got some cool cosmetics in it.
just to clarify - im not upset that its on sale.
im annoyed that its back at all.

I'm not that annoyed by the recurrence. SSG has to sell things to keep the lights on for DDO and cosmetics and convenience are the right answer.
I think the timeframe might be a bit short though for a recurrence.
SSG should probably make a package like this available once a quarter and not repeat packages until they have maybe 6 or so in rotation.
Note that I have not bought this package nor am I planning too, even on sale.
This is the second time it's come back since it was introduced in December.

It's a bad strategy nonetheless. For people who were not here for a particularly attractive FOMO item or who joined after the date FOMO just blows wicked, vile, green chunks.
When you have a niche product like DDO that depends on a select group of spenders to survive anything that might piss somebody off royally is probably a bad idea. Over time they are collectively a very bad idea.
People also get pissed off about things being gone forever. I'd love to be able to get the premium versions Ravenloft, MotU, and Shadowfell.

i dont care it back i glad it's back for ppl that did not get it. i care that point blank it was told they where a "supporter pack " much like founders packs but when game is old. if you bought something that was a founders pack aka beta release than it was handed out later at a discount you be pissed too. it the fact that SSG dotn give two turds about the players that keep the lights on. SSG may have the worst marketing team i have ever seen. i view this as biting the hand that feeds.
we had the points codes for all packs and boy that that piss off many that paid for them all but i like that as nobody is buying them all old packs any more . and it a huge move in right direction for marketing. them free pack codes gave a much need boost to player base the game needed. ( also bring the points code back forever so many ppl i brought to this game have quit once that get passed harbor and see what a cash grab this game really is. make your money like everyone else with micro transactions ) also from a marketing stand point doing it via a gift code rather just adding the quest to the list of F2p make new players think they are getting value.

One last thought: the phrase "last chance to get/purchase" should never be used for an item that will be back at some point.

there a large group of players that quit over that too. but if they really care about the player base and want to make to right with them something should be given to all players that bought them when they 1st came out even as small as a 50% exp pot. this shows you care and is great marketing. right now it feels like E/A games just bought SSG lol
So some people get pissed off at things never coming back, while others get pissed off because things do come back. It's a no-win situation for SSG. I'd rather they err on the side of bringing things back so that people who missed them can get them.

Where did they say it won't be back? The three times they have offered it they called it a "limited time offer," which is accurate. They gave the time frame it would be offered just like any of their sales.
