So I rolled a wizard on Cormyr and have been trying to recreate my main from another server and ran into something weird.
The 4 piece Fey winter set is not giving me the 10% legendary bonus to hit points. Tried taking it on/off, relogging etc.. but it
doesn't register. My other set bonus items are the autumn set so I know it's not a gear conflict. I though maybe the legendary
toughness feet could be interfering but I had Fred swap it out to no effect. Anyone run into this?

Also, are there issues with the math on potency items when it comes to viewing your spell power stats? I have a morning lord scepter
that has +98 potency and +49 exceptional potency, when I put it one most of my individual spell powers go up by like 88 and my negative
spell power goes up by 10 points which makes even less sense. I also have a quality potency item on too which seems to correctly calculate.
I have no other potency items on. Am I misunderstanding how potency is calculated or is there another stat called something else that counts as potency?

I could be incorrect but....I suspect you already have some items that add to your character's spell casting potencies, especially negative, which do NOT stack with the sceptre thus the increase is LESS than the sceptre's bonuses.

I can do things others can't...
In which case, the four Winter items, do you have any set augments slotted into them? As they will disable the original Winter set bonus then in case you have forgotten.

Also, is the 4 item bonus actually lit up in blue when inspecting the Winter items?

That's probably it, I thought that potency was a separate stat from an individual spell power item

Some do have augments in them but yes the 4 item blue highlight shows up. I'll try taking the augments out

edit: the augments wouldn't be "set augments, just regulars like feather fall, wizardry and such

Just tried it on the non Cormyr servers, and the Winter set does work as expected. There shouldn't be a difference between Cormyr and other servers, although it wouldn't be surprising if there was a difference either.

One other thing I'm thinking might be, MD Shield.

when i get home i'm going to double check that I didn't take titans blood. it doesn't sound familiar but I've been known to have a few cocktails while playing this game. it's the only thing that would make sense

not that either, 4 winter and 6 autumn fey items, the feytwisted necklace, black onyx trinket and some goggles that give quality potency that I cant recall the name of. morning lord scepter and the hallowsphere orb in the off hand

universal spell power is different then ordinary spell power so it stacks. but potency is general across the board spell power for all spells but doesn't stack with ordinary spell power because its the same but not focused like elemental spell powers corrosion, combustion, magnetic, force... exceptional < stacks because its special

similar to this
  • Spell Focus: Abjuration
  • Spell Focus Mastery
exceptional changes the type of spell power which stacks. equipment, quality, profane...

Potency address's the weakness in other spell school powers in general.
