How the HELL do I use this Diamond augment I crafted from the Sharpened Bone Guy in Isle of Dread (IOD)? In my brain, I thought I could put it into any color slot of any IOD item, and it would add that Bonus set to that item, transforming that item into one of the three items I need for that bonus set obviously after trying many things that is not the case. Help Please.

This augment only goes into of the three raid gear pieces: armor, helmet or cloack, it has a designated augment slot for this exact augment.

Real talk though set bonus augments that you have to grind to get should not have their use limited to just raid items for that expansion.

That's how they were all designed. So, you can turn any of the armor types or helm or cloak into working pcs of each set, but can custom craft w/e you want on them

Don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing you did the first week Isle of Dread came out in 2023, and for the same reasons (not clearly explained).

Been there, done that, only with the Dread Stalker set. Finally got it all sorted, but yeah, lot of missteps.
