What part of you where intentionally trying to be vague did not sink in?
I'm the one I pointed out I was intentionally being vague to NOT target anyone which you accused me of.
Did you come here solely for the purpose to fight? Do you need to be reported?
You targeted me, not the other way around, and even when told to stop and give it a rest, you keep going.
Just stop already.

Who is the one thinking? That is the unnamed person, being insulted by your claims of audacity. Also you where intentionally trying to be vague by not targeting anyone, with clear indications how and why, with specific intention.

You need to stop, you are insulting, and only trying to none answer the question of who is doing the audacity. So who thinks they have the audacity to "The audacity to think there isn't going to be enough problems with reducing one of 8 servers, but half of them? and for someone who isn't incurring all the cost of it then suggesting one less?"
No I wasn't insulting or targeting anyone that's what you did and it's in writing. Your writing.
But I get it, you came here to fight because you can't get over yourself.
I'll just report you and be done with you, I do not have time to babysit you for your benefit.

I wasn't going to but statements like,

"Thane is dead on arrival. Shadowdale is a cooler name, and that is the only reason it will die. Weird reason, I know, but I'm right."

makes me want to. I was planning on going to Oerick since I tend to be a contrarian but now maybe Thrane since it is receiving name hate. Regardless, Thrane will have a thriving poplulation for sure with the number of Guilds already signed up to transfer there. I believe an additonal time for free transfers will be available in case folks wish to try the other servers as well but I could be mistaken. If one server could accomidate all toons with zero issues that would be ideal but clearly that is not the case thus the 4 servers. Asking to condense them at this time makes little sense.

That would be the same problem, no one knows greyhawk. So when new people start the game, they will jump to a name that registers with them the easiest.

I contest the idea that no one knows Greyhawk. Big portion of us still here are old school and not only remember it, but have fond memories of that era. ...AND resent the renaming.

Edit: Dang, now I see the rest of the posts in the thread and realize I took the bait. Oh, well.

Did you see the poll results? It’s 26–6. That’s more than 4 to 1 against the idea of a single server. Consolidating into only one megaserver would likely cause more problems than it solves.

Not everyone feels that way. Thrane will have plenty to offer new players and casuals too—and that’s intentional. For survivability -- we want a well-rounded server.

When Thrane launches, new players will find help from Day One. Guilds that I see starting on Thrane run the entire gamut... and some will be ready to support players through every level—including endgame. And that’s something we at Tyrs Paladium are looking forward to.

So I look at Thrane as a guild focused server, with a strong end game option, that focuses at teamwork from Day One. Its a winning formula. I believe Shadowdale will have an excellent end game as well. This jump to new 64 bit servers are the BIGGEST BUMP to guilds I've seen in DDO in over A DECADE.

When a new person logs on, how do they know that?

I think what I stated has been taken out of context or read more into that what is known to be true. Because it has been stated publicly and loudly. That people in the endgame community want to create a healthy and robust endgame community of Thrane. That certainly doesn't mean it will be only endgame playing server. I am also sure there will be players of all levels that flock to Thrane. It's not a exclusive server.

With the upcoming launch in days of the new servers Shadowdale & Thrane I’ve been thinking a lot about the community. Both names have potential, but looking at the forums, there’s already a noticeable amount of activity on both. It feels like splitting the player base between these two servers could lead to issues down the line, especially if one ends up being much quieter than the other.

Instead of launching two separate servers, why not combine them into one from the start? The extra player base would ensure that the world remains full of life and activity, and you wouldn’t have the risk of one server feeling underpopulated after a few months. Dungeons and Dragons is all about the interaction, the unexpected encounters, and the shared journey. Keeping the community together in a single server would make that much more possible.

I’m sure there are logistical reasons for having separate servers, but I’d much rather see one strong, active server where players can experience all the content without worrying about a merge down the road.

Anyone else think this would be a better move?
No. Because lag is real and it's good to have options.

Despite the post claiming there's no lag on Cormyr, there is.

Your initial comment to me was insulting when I asked for clarification. Then you went on to define what Cormyr is, implying that I didn’t know, which felt like another jab. How can someone forget something they never knew in the first place? It seems like your main intention here is to troll.

Another rude comment.
there are 88 replies to this thread 40 of which are yours. You need to stop replying to every post. this is NOT tictok, fb, twitter or whatever platform you're using.

Do not try and tell people not to engage with others in here.

Failed another saving throw vs replying to the bait, but... Sometimes ya just have to watch the train all the way to the wreck.

I have a guess, you're really just trying to get the lowest Posts/Reaction ratio possible....

I've made 100's of avatars & signatures. Not in my dimmented sense of humor did I expect this to be used. It's a good thing I guess, considering Dradle is a very old children's toy.
You are not demanded or at lease this meme didn't seem to be.
*demented

* least (lease - a contract by which one party conveys land, property, services, etc. to another for a specified time, usually in return for a periodic payment.)

n*zi-grammerism is occassionally essential :)(y)

[As an off-topic (we have a topic?) aside, the Good Doctor has announced his retirement later this year. Totally deserved, but bummed. ]

SSG have said they are going to offer free tranfers from 64 bit servers in the future. It's a good idea that they are playing safe. SSG certainly don't want to pay for a dead server. We'll just have to wait and see.
It's not an easy choice for me because I live in Vietnam . Yet, my guild is in Europe. I'm more interested in where the Australians are going.
