I was mostly ignoring this thread since it went off the rails, but I see the OP has deleted their initial post and every follow post they made over the weekend. It probably should be locked at this point.

At this point I'm just wondering how this thread didn't get locked already. Maybe they took Monday off too?

Deleting the posts WE can see doesn't help, Cordo can still see the pre-edits. (or used to be able to.)

I'm also amazed it made it all the way thru Monday.

...and Tuesday

...and Wednesday.

I have a little dreidel,
I made it out of clay.
And when it's dry and ready,
Oh, dreidel, I shall play.

Oh, dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,

Now back on topic. It’s kind of late to ask the developers to squish Shadowdale and Thrane into one server.

The total number of servers after the consolidation is already small enough as is. A total of 4 servers compared to all the ambitious plans they had back in 2006 with US, EU, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese servers. https://ddowiki.com/page/Server

I’d rather they not consolidate any further unless it’s done with mega servers like GW2 that support cross server play and grouping.

It’s not a good indicator of a healthy MMO with paying customers when you’re downsizing even if the 64 bit servers are supposedly an upgrade. Hopefully, in the next few years they can grow their business and add servers like when they added Cannith Orien and Wayfinder.

Also, forcing your customers to shuffle deck chairs on the Titanic if they want to keep their characters, items, and guilds isn’t exactly a great deal of fun for them. But hey, what do I know. It got me interested in the game again.
