literally a discord for that. come on you dinosaurs no one useis in game chats other party and guild . in game voice is not often used other than when ppl are doing dumb stuff lol. heck i keep mine off 100% of the time

There is room for both., multiple people have multple needs. I know for a fact there are deaf players in the game who don't want to have to have an external program to communicate, and for people who are having to communicate in a non native language reading is easier than speaking/listening in a setting where you hgave to pay attention to both speaker and what is going on in the game. There are valid reasones to like and use both options.
Newer is not always better. There's a system within the game which every single player has immediate access to, it seems extraneous, to this proud dinosaur, to use a third party program to replicate that function, especially since not everyone uses it.

Totally! I'm stuck on 2 resistance shards and 2 constitution shards in the crafting hall. I'm high level, low mats Livmo in the dale. I have stuff to trade.
