Shared bank behaving strangely

Since completing my transfer to Thrane my shared bank has been behaving oddly.

When I try to move an item within a shared bank tab (to change its order in the list) or from one bank tab to another, the transaction always fails and I get a message saying "You do not have enough space in your backpack to withdraw that". This happens even when I have multiple tabs of empty space in my pack and plenty of spare room in the shared bank. Relogging has not fixed it.

I'm curious whether anyone else is having this happen. I haven't seen it mentioned on the forums so far. I submitted a bug report as well.

Hey Rabid, no I have about 110 free slots at the moment.

I should have mentioned that the bank has been extremely slow every time I've used it since moving servers.

Out of curiosity, where are you trying to access the bank from? Ship, harbor? In game chatter seems to indicate that location can affect it and the guild ships are being extra wonky with the bank it seems.

That sounds a bit similar to the issue I had at one point - couldn't drag items from one place to other without error message.
(I could individually click on item put it in inventory and then move it somewhere else if i recall)
But dragging items got me that error.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like it's not just me.

I am having the same problem with the Harbour and Marketplace bankers too. I even tried replacing the amenity on my airship but it didn't help.

Go to a location that few are using. That should help a lot. The 3 places you mention you have been using for banking are the most used location/ ship issues.

It isn`t just since transfer. I had this issue on toons on Khyber to. Had hoped the trasfer would fix it, but the first I mowed over had it. That toon hadn`t had it before. The transfer just changed the toons that had the issue. It has nothing to do with where toon is located. It`s that toon. Currently have 3 on Shadowdale.

I just got this bug. It happened during lag spike on Shadowdale. I was moving items from character to shared bank, lag started and one item I moved disappeared from character bank, but did not appear on shared bank.

It looks like there is some "cache" space that got filled by the transfer that did not clear. Item got stuck in there and it does not move anymore. I get the message "You do not have enough space in your backpack to withdraw that", even after logout and game restart.

This is a serious problem. Because this can cause item loss.

I also had this happen to one of my toons yesterday. It happened during a major lag spike while trying to move something from shared bank directly to character bank. I have other toons that have been affected by this bug and those were years ago on the 32 bit servers. This is not new as others have pointed out.

I forgot to mention that the error persists and the only way to move things from shared bank to character bank OR from character bank to shared bank it to put it in inventory first and then make the final move.

This just happened to me today. I had to drag every item from my TR cache to my inventory, then to the bank I wanted. The good news is the reincarnation fixed it.

It's not just you and it started after the last patch. I have several characters with stuff just dumped in the bank; I started breaking it down for storage by levels and moving things around. I got the error when trying to put things from character bank to shared, and when trying to move in character bank from one tab to another. Annoying to say the least. I haven't checked if it is only on the ship. Ooh, goody. Something new to do today.

So, do you have free space in the character's inventory or not ? 😏
