Enough with the friggin' nerfs. Stop the madness, and stop calling for more madness.
Quit ruining other peoples FUN.

And NO I am not playing an XBow build.

How are XBows ruining YOUR fun?
If you say, "They kill more people than me;" you're missing the whole point of DDO.

Step 1 Quit whining,.
Step 2 Realize the goal of any quest is to "FINISH THE QUEST." Not pay any attention to Kill Count.
Step 3 Enjoy playing the game.

If you can't do that, then

Group with others, or play solo, or hop on the bandwagon and run a XBow build.

There, the choice is yours, just quit calling for Nerfs.

No one:

DDO:

- Double crossbows (pst repeaters) fire endless number of arrows jet speed and reload automatically also no ammo need. Attemps to add more power from other classses and univ tree enhancements, buffs, clickies. (since 41 p4)

'D1s n0t 3nough p0w3r!'

Meanwhile...

- Caster can not even regenerate their own spell points the same way.

Random gaemer: 'Sk1ll issu3...Use 1nQuisitv3 for W1z4rd p4st l1v3s' (Proud face, retarded smile)

Random gaemer2: 'Gr1nd m0r3 g3ar. Pl4y s0rcerer, W4rl0ck...asdasdasfafashuehuehuejajaja'

Random gaemer3: '...qual1ty updat3 f3r w1z is aga1nst D&D rul3z. Pl4y s0m3t1ng 3ls3. G1t Gut!

Random gaemer4: 'Ur r3p0rt3d f3r sp4m'

The fact that the tier 3? Heroic AOE does 2 or 3 times as much damage as Pin is proof its out of whack.

We know at some point the nerf hammer will hit hard in a zealous over reaction but what are the sensible fixes?

Remove the DOT on the AOE? Make the Eladrin sneak attack be every 5 levels instead of 3?

It would still be crazy good dps but maybe not insane.

Or for those who refuse to accept that nerfs can ever be beneficial to the game what do you do to buff every single other build in the game? (Which kind of feels like a touch more work?)?

A flat 20% increase for all melee builds other than DL Tier 5 builds which get 10%?

Remove the caster penalty on high reaper? 10% more dps just for giggles too? Sorcs miss out on the 10%?

A flat 30% for bow builds and non Shuriken thrower builds? (And 30% for Great xbow builds - oops). 20% for repeater builds? 20% for Shuriken builds but structured to kick in early or mid Heroic so you dont hate life while you level?

.... and the above is why nerfing an outlier is much easier than fiddling with all the other builds.

But also, buff bows. They need it. Except Paladins which somehow can do WAY more than traditional bow builds.

And make Rogue stick builds a thing again !

I totally agree with the buff bows, long bows should have a higher attack rate than a repeating cross bow. But D&D has always hated bows.

If there are specific skills that are out of whack they should be addressed, but nerfing DPS for crossbows? No. I don't see a problem with repeating crossbows DPS. Non-repeating crossbows (great crossbow, I'm looking at you) is painfully under powered.

Ranged (crossbow, bow, caster) should be the DPS. Melee should be focused on keeping the bad guys from breaking the glass cannons. And casters should be able to out DPS everyone, until they run out of spell points.

I did forget Great xbows. Id love to try it but its a pointless build. Presume it needs even more than the bow buff.

Agreed

All characters should get exhausted and run out of action points and need to rest to refresh.

Ranged characters should get out of ammunition and get exhausted and stop firing ranged weapons.

Melee characters should get out of action points, get exhausted and stop swinging melee weapons.

All characters shall stop moving when they run out of energy. Players need to take a nap and eat during quests to make it a realistic D&D scenario. (Not a joke)

Indeed the D&D game system has got serious problems of its own. Additionally the character creation should be based on randomised dice roll. (This all based on real D&D not a joke)

Solution: Make all classes equally powerfull and fun to play or nerf them all to the same level to creep a hardcore way.

Currently playing inqui, prefer caster still even at end game, for pure DPS Melee still #1, currently pure arti probably #2 with everything else coming in later, casters probably last place atm.

To me, top-notch melee builds are just as OP as inquisitive. I don't think crossbows need to be nerfed from orbit.

1. Apply the current R10 spell penalty to all damage in r7+ (to me R10 should be slowed down a bit)
2. Maybe get rid of the DOT on the Inquisitive AOE

I am not sure that the devs even read the forums.
