I like cosmetics, but without a wardrobe feature I dread more cosmetics.

Benefits? You get to bang out the PLs prior to the content getting released and potentially look prettier.
Well there is the other mount, two levels of cosmetics, two levels of pets, and a teleport at least (totally based what expansions typically get). So help me if the pair of additional items are stuck in the ultimate bundle.

This game is NOT F2P, it's P2W - and has been ever since they introduced the ddo store.
anybody who believes this game is 'free" really is delusional. I would classify it more as ' free to try, but pay to succeed"
I've never seen a game in my life that tries to extort more money from it's players - and give advantages to players who spend money over players who just play with a free account.
As far as buying the next expansion?

i'm not giving SSG any more of my hard earned money until they fix crap that's been broken for years instead of ignoring it and pumping out new content.. SSG is like Apple who is always trying to sell you the next iphone.
I bought the IOD ultimate bundle and it came with a teleporter clicky just like the sharn clicky and the feywild clicky... Says on it I can teleport to any of the other content that I already own... I try to teleport to ravenloft - says I don't own the content.. Sharn? nope... Feywild? Nope... What a minute!! I OWN all that content.. but because I bought those packs with points and didn't spend $100 on each expansion, the clicky won't let me port to the CONTENT THAT I OWN!
So SSG, you expect ALL the players to shell out a hundred bucks on every expansion you churn out just to use these feature?
how about you fix the content you already came out with, and shove the content you are trying to peddle??

DDO is an entertainment-service with free2play content. I'm not sure why that's difficult to understand.

I always love these types of threads because they point out the importance of having, at least, a basic knowledge of Business before you attack a company that provides an evolving/growing game. If it were a pay us once and you're good game instead of a subscription based (with an F2P option); some of these comments/complaints would have value.
As a business, Turbine/SSG could have created something that is a one time purchase and been done with it or they could have created an MMOrpG (rp in lowercase because there is very little of it) and continue to add to it; they chose the latter. The latter requires the business to have money coming in from the game to support the development and implementation of additions to the game.
Bottom line... If you don't like something they offer DON'T BUY IT!!!

I've gotten 2 cleansing cards and 2 reaper enhanced helms without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money on store items, mostly inventory space when it goes on sale. This game has plenty of opportunities for frugal players to get nice drops if you pay attention to how its Not all RNG. Biggest challenge is having enough storage space for everything that's gonna drop.

Its not pay to win since you're not winning anything. the VIP provides immediate access to reaper and the DDOStore provides additional items you might need.
So...the sole reason you wish to buy is either:
1. content
2. speedup your progress
Neither of these have any relevance to "pay to win". Furthermore...Ok let's go with "pay2win". so what? Its a service that you CHOOSE TO USE.

I think you misread the post... I just posted a similar thought and deleted it after I re-read the post and saw the "PLAY" part. Dang typoglycemia.
Basically, sometimes we see what we want to see and other times we see what a mipselled word was supposed to be without even realizing it.
It doesn't say 'content'.
You haven't unlocked the teleport to those other locations.
