Here's how to do the Sleeping with fishes quest secret optional.
Buy the wand of disillusionment from the NPC in the quest

If you run out of charges, you can shrine for 3 more. Or if you find this

you can use it here to get full charges restores on the wand:

Use the wand on aggitators:

Until you find the suprised impersonator. When you find them, talk to them:

Now you can freely kill any remaining mobs in the main area (or keep wanding them). Once the main area is cleared. Go talk to Romira and Juvian. When making your way to them, don't provoke; pick this option:

When talking to Romira and Juvian pick this option:

Escort whatever one you talked to over to the other's side. When they get together, click on them once, and then they'll talk to each other for a while. Then they'll talk to each other some more. Eventually you'll see this dialog:

Then talk to Juvian and pick this option.

You should then see this optional start:

Then head back to the tower, if things are advanced correctly these mobs should now be hostile:

Do everything in the tower and kill this boss:

Go find Romira and Juvian inside the tower and tell them to follow you. Bring them to the room you fought the boss. Once there, they'll start talking. After a few, you should be able to click them and advance dialog to get this:

If everything went well, you should get the optional checked off like this:

And you can then head to Cerulean Hills for the 1st extra chest.

And then to MD for the 2nd optional chest. (use the drow teleport location in MD to get there fast)

If I just use one wand some of the agitators resist it. If I use both wands, at least one seems to always work. Is the elf spy guaranteed not to resist disillusionment?

p.s. Why you being so stingy with the gold? Isn't that like 0.2 plat?

From what's been said, I think if a mob resists it then it can't be the spy; so just use the wand once per agitator. (I haven't tested this, but that's my understanding from what's been said by others)

If you don't want to waste the disillusion wand, use the sleep wand first on the agitator, it'll put them to sleep and cause the rest of the mobs to no longer agro. The fake agitator will pop up a message saying that surprisingly the sleep wand had no effect, that's your clue to use the disillusion wand on them.

I would add to move slowly once you have the kobold following you in any situation. He has trouble sometimes unless you have better luck? I have lost him and had to search the whole place to find.
Sometimes they initiate their lovers dialogue at the foot of the ramp before the final chests.

Two chests in MD. Can you add a description of the wilderness locations? They are not too hard to find but why not.

Does it matter if the quest is completed on Heroic or Legendary difficulty with regards the level of the loot found in the hills and MD once the optional is done?

In paricular i am after the Legendary Band of Faith and Fortress.

So .... can i complete the Quest (with optional) on Heroic and then enter MD ruins on Legendary and i get the chests which spawn the Legendary loot?

Or if complete the Quest on Heroic i can only get the Heroic spawn for the heroic chests in Heroic MD?

Watched the Vid - Seems Heroic comp can then garner Legendary Loot

The benefit IS the loot

The chest in MD on Legendary seems to give alot of rare loot that is harder to find elsewhere, e.g.:

Legendary Band of Faith and Fortress
Solar: Spell Crit Chance +6%
Legendary Helm of the Warblade

I dont have a full list but the above plus other augs like (Moon Healing Amp which i also need) drop in the second chest in MD

For me its easier to solo Sleeping with the Fishes than to farm Yegora chest for example.

Two other benefits seem to be:

1. You can "quickly" do the quest on heroic which then flags you for a chance at Legendary Loot. But even if this does not work or is changed:
2. When you go into MD the chest pops as long as its the first time YOU enter the MD wilderness since you completed the quest and cerulean hills chat also. This means that:

a. You can bring 5 friends for essentially a free chance at rare loot for them or if they are kind pass you what you are looking for and even better:
b. If you do the quest and optional with 5 friends and then change to alts you effectively all have 6 chances at rare loot if you see what i mean

Yes. You can flag the extra chests in the heroic quest, go into heroic C. Hills for 1st chest, and then go into legendary MD for the legendary loot in 2nd chest.

I would like to see where you could click and drag from a type of coin in your inventory just like it was an item to be deleted and then a confirmation box pops up for how much to throw away.

Every been on a 4th level ftp toon and tried to use a portable hole with 10000 pp when you can’t quite get to the 10000 pp because of your gold, silver or bronze.
