so augment summoning doesn't actually augment summoning?

yeah my dog gets extra hit points and they change whether or not I have the augment or any summoning affect equipped but when you summon something, there is no change to hit points? all the tool tips say "affects your pets, hirelings and summoned creatures". but doesn't do squat for summons? boo.

Cannot confirm bug. Summons had increased HP for me, as long as you summoned them after you were affected by Augment Summoning.

I've never had problems with augment summons on actual summoned creatures, before. The feats and enhancements all seem to work. I think I remember that if you are getting your bonuses from an item, you need to have that equipped before you summon a creature, otherwise it may not apply.

I've used a weapon with the Augment Summoning Augment in Tempest Spine to get my Pale Master's Skeleton to open strength levers.
So, I think it does something.... (Augment says it grants the feat if I remember correctly.)

Can I prove it works with summons? Or Charmed? No.

If getting augment summoning from equipping an item, the augment effect is only, uh, in effect when it is equipped. Should be able to take it off and see if the summons change right away.

I believe the item only takes effect if it is worn as the summon is summoned. Equipping the item afterwards seems to have no effect, unless it comes from a set or filigree bonus (deadly diabolist and cry of battle, respectively).

when you remove an item your iron defender will lose hit points. put it back on it gains hit points but the stuff you summon (say from the magus of the eclipse tree) seem to not be getting the same treatment. HP are still pretty low considering all of the extra stat bonuses these things should have if you take every possible way to buff them.
