Felt like old 32 bit server lag tonight.

Ran a bunch of Raids with the Guilds.... Click buttons and nothing happens. Click a button and u get a timer Cooldown and nothing happens. Lag freezes. Rubberbanding. Slow or no movement. What's going on?

Only 983 people on right now.

All kinds of lag.

What happened?

What's new?

I thought lag was mostly sorted out for months and now its a mess.

Yeah it was getting a bit rough last night. Not as bad as the early days of 64 bit, but my group had some close calls due to the intermittent lag spikes running around Myth Drannor.

They should have bought new Commodore 64u's to replace the old ones instead of buying used Atari Jaguars.

The lag was so bad yesterday that my wife and I gave up after about an hour and just logged off for the day. We have a standing joke about the Wed down time, if it is for maintenance we are probably OK, but if they do anything to the software, we tread softly expecting a land mine.

I need to get this off my chest, someone somewere said that after mentioning lag was fixed that they could make it come back even worse.... so that got me suspicious... dont know if they were joking or not... still i would be concerned due to the actual state of the game here.

Gotta think about how broken the game is and then with the playerbase of veterans running around who know how the game works. Id be concerned.

Lag in game, not the airship kind, has been creeping into the game for the past 4-6 weeks. We are on Thrane and last night it was noticeable, especially for the casters.

I noticed lag that wasnt there previoulsy after the last game update. Especially when riding thru wilderness areas, and even logging in. IMHO something has definately deteriorated in the game (on Thrane). This happens even in early mornings when theres only 300-400 people on.

Did anyone really believe that Heat map of lag before and after that Tolero posted a while back? Probably a map of when no one was on , compared to when everyone was on. Making it look like they fixed the lag, but in reality, just time of day and population lag.

I dont buy any of it,, the carrot has been dangling in front of the horse for way too long, and people keep believing what SSG says. None of what they say is true, the only thing that is true, is they have no clue of how to get rid of the lag.. Its just time for people to understand, its been over 20 years now.. you think it will be fixed? Not a chance.

I would have some empathy if they just came out and told the truth. I actually may buy something once in a blue moon, if they just fess up and say, we are clueless on the lag. But instead they make up some new excuse of its the players fault there is lag.

Inb4 trickster gets deleted for "too many numbers per second" -reasons in a long line of "cool new fast/multihitting thing" "kill it in the name of lag!"

Band-aid cover-ups are not fixes, it doesn't take long for them to fall off re-exposing the pestilent LAG.
