So... What's Lamannia about ?

Like, from what i understand, it's a server that's completely separate from the other servers, both in and out of the game. But like... What's the deal with it ? Is it a server for open-beta-testing new features, or is it more of a "sandbox" server, made for you to test anything and everything the game has to offer for free?

It's for testing changes for the next update to validate if they work or otherwise have problems. So yes, open-beta-testing new features is pretty accurate. People have used it as a testing ground for new builds as well though.

Yes, it's a completely separate install. See the how to access Lammania thread for more details.

Also the Lammania server isn't open 24/7, it's just open for generally small 3 day periods in the middle of the week to quickly test/preview upcoming things.
