Someone took Elite Raiders guild name?

The problem with trying to find one of the toons when online and send them a tell is: if it truly was maliciously sniped, that toon may never log back in again and the name is lost in the abyss.

If this is the case, I would assume that opening a ticket with Customer Support would yield a positive outcome for the OP.

That is why I was asking if they knew what guild level the non-1 was. If it's a newly created guild that someone is just squatting on with no activity, it is likely CS can help the OP get their original guild name back.

Gathering a modicum of evidence and opening a support ticket about it is likely to be far more productive than shouting into the void (i.e. posting here) and expecting a productive outcome.

If it helps, here's a post by another forumite who dug up the relevant info regarding SSG's stance on intentional name sniping - https://forums.ddo.com/index.php?threads/stolen-char-name-and-guild-name.20287/post-272119

I'm hopeful that opening a CS ticket will help, and I remember watching Friday's at 4 where Cordo said what you linked.

I'll disagree with you on "shouting into the void," as problems sometimes do get solved by forum posts (albeit it's never guaranteed) due to community/dev visibility. Hopefully a CS ticket and visibility with this thread will help.

You can disagree if you wish, but in this case you're likely wrong.

Any concerns with name reservations should be sent to Customer Support through help.standingstonegames.com. I am personally expecting to receive pings from people like I always do, but I am not involved in the name conflict resolution process, so at-ing me or pinging me will not progress resolution of your concern.

Cool bro, nice link. Nowhere in this thread did anyone @ Cordo. But I guess you somehow think Cordo is the only Dev who has a DDO Forums account? There's countless times over the years where player feedback on the forums have gotten Dev attention. Even one off personal issues have been solved via a Dev reading a forum post. This isn't the first thread about stolen guild/player names and it isn't the last. It's also not the first thread about problems with the whole server merge (spoiler alert, there's been a lot of Dev traffic in those threads as well). If the issue is wide spread and getting a lot of attention, the Devs will take it more seriously than if there is zero discussion about it.

Cordovan was pretty explicit that doing so in this instance won't help your case, but don't let that stop you. You do you, boo. Keep shouting into the void if it makes you feel better.
