did a couple of quests: first some specs 250mbit connection apple running windows 11 in highest frame rate possible and highest graphic mode it runs smooth although I think it was kinda dead on the server I saw at most 56 ppl online. so i dont know if you can call it a stress test. the cave in
black loch was running smooth ToEE had no glitches. but i have my doubts on how busy a new server for VIP only will be especial when you have to start at 0 the amount of time i put in my main and the past lives i got (more then needed) is why i play this game. the lantern thing is a fun thing but not worth to skip my main.

I didn't have this experience. What is your bandwidth?

For me it took about 30 mins to do the DL and install. I do not have great bandwidth so I would expect my experience to be more the norm than a 2 hour process.

I'm guessing that disk space or some other factor slowed things down.

Yesterday the kobolds DPS test were very laggy in the dojo, much more laggy than the Skel in the closet raid test.

Just mounting up in the marketplace:
FPS stayed at 60.
Connection latency was very close to 150ms every time I checked; sometime 149 or 151 but very stable.
Although I did not check during this incident.

I did not release the W key even when my characters stopped moving forwards at 00:03

We are working on another preview for the near future that we'd expect will also use the Lamannia game launcher for access. Stay tuned for more information! We'll let you know whether we might be looking at something like Thursday or something else.

Over 2 hours, 17k files downloaded, more than 23k to go. Your stress test failed spectacularly because the installer is pure cancer. I've installed games 5x larger in less than minutes.
HDD?

Ran NRGraveyard key farm with my cap Warlock and little to no lag.

Smugglers Rest group Raid Boss Smackdown Fest…. My normal 80ms connection lagged down to 19ms at its worst… typically around 29 to 35ms.

What concerned me was I can swear that my Warlock Chain Blasting would sometimes not jump to multiple targets, and thy were within range. Also, per usual with a lagged session, damage numbers would keep scrolling long after I stopped attacking.

At this point we frankly already have a lot of good data to sort through and work is already being done to address some things found in this week's preview, so the plan is to get as much of that work in then get another preview ready, probably something like early next week.

hmmmmmm -- in Euro-DDO, Codemasters once experimented with switching Dungeon Alert off on Live. It was a massive lag-a-thon, lasting about a week until they switched it back on, but it could be a possible test gimmick in the next preview ?

I can do things others can't...
I'm going to guess they're going to up the amount of data that can be sent out to player clients. I noticed that we were capping at around 35k data being sent to us (received) no matter what was happening on screen. It never really went beyond that until they shifted over everyone from another instance into another when it went to 60k+ data temporarily. No loss was noted despite that.

But the amount being sent appears to be the biggest hurdle for the lag players experience now. On live, you'll be lucky to hit 3k data being thrown before it starts lagging in some fashion for players. But that's no longer the case back on Cormyr. But that 35k odd limit seems to be the new (current) 64bit server to client lag cause/issue.
