Spell Procs - weird behavior between Eldritch Aura and Lightning Strike

Just to add another case of Eldritch Aura weirdness I noticed. With the Staggering Blow item effect (on a vorpal hit, foe must make a DC 17 Balance check or be tripped, such as from the Spare Hand belt), if I vorpal hit during the Eldritch Aura pulse and trigger Staggering Blow, then sometimes all my future attacks will apply Staggering Blow, vorpal hit or not, until the next Eldritch Aura pulse.

None of it is bugged.

That fact that there are these "quirky" interactions MEANS that something isn't quite right.
