Spellpower question

Lets say that my Arcane Archer has 100 spellpower and uses the acid imbue and has 4 total damage dice (3 bonus plus the original 1 for the stance). I would be doing 4d6 acid damage that scales 100% so how much does that 100% scaling improve the basic 4d6 damage?? I was playing around shooting the dummy on the ship and I would shoot a few without maximize on, then turn it on and that extra spellpower didnt really do that much more to the damage.

it would double it.
@100%
4 to 24 / = * 2 or 8 to 48 based on the results of the single roll for damage
[ as well this can too critically hit for another double damage of that number]

@350%
4 to 24 / = * 3.5 or 14 to 84

I think.

Spell power rating determines how much damage you deal with spells. In most cases, each point of spell power increase increases the base damage of your spell by 1%. Various effects can contribute to your spell power, all effects are added together.

This.
I don't think metamagic feats effect imbues, even if they scale with spellpower. Maximize only adds its spellpower when the spell/SLA is cast with the feat active or the modifier togged on for the spell.
Activating 'Maximize Spell' does not change your spellpower. You can view this by looking at your spellpower, activating Maximize, then checking again. All of the Metamagic Feats only apply to things that can accept them (SLAs, Spells, etc). Toggling a Metamagic Feat on will enable it for anything that can accept it that has not been already set to 'Always Off' (will never use this feat) or 'Always On' (always on = it was already enabled, so no double bonus). Right-click on items in your Quickbar(s) to see if any metamagic feats apply. For Spells, most state in their full description if and what metamagics may apply (for SLAs refer back to the originating spell for that list).

I always assumed metamagics affected imbues for some reason. I mean, an imbue is not a spell but it uses spell power to enhance damage. Kind of wierd if you ask me, but then what do I know? Thanks for the responses though, now I know!

Metamagics do NOT affect imbues. Imbues will state what DOES, if anything does, affect them. This is to the best of my knowledge. Luck and happy new year :)
