There must be a Significant bump from using the 1st feat along with the second vs just using the new legendary feat alone.

I’m just under 300MP and average temp HP l saw was in the 300’s with a high in the 400’s.

Really didn’t seem to make sense, but like l said, l only have the one feat, not both.
We are talking about the legendary feat.

Just saying l’ve read posts stating you need to take Both for max benefit.

I’m using just the Legendary feat and never saw more than 400’s for Temp HP and that was few and far between.

Average was 300’s.

Maybe enough to bump a skull at best IMO

There is "Strength of Arms" and "Legendary Strength of Arms".
Unless there is a bug you cannot take "Legendary Strength of Arms" without taking "Strength of Arms".

With 300 MP and "Strength of Arms" you will get up to 600 temp HP every 8 second, or 75 temp HP per second.
With 300 MP and "Legendary Strength of Arms" you will get up to 1800 temp HP every 6 seconds, or 300 temp HP per second.

In other words the legendary version is 4 times stronger, and even more so because it gives a far greater chance that some temp HP will be left when the cooldown is up.

I will note that no other set of feats are designed this way. They made the first feat useless and the second feat overpowered. Great design work...

More like 3-4 skulls, at least.

4 skulls? No one who has actually used this feat will believe this.

This isn't taking a character barely getting through r6s to r10 level. No. Do you even play this game or just troll on the forums?
That's a massive jump in difficulty that this feat just doesn't cover.
Even an r1 to r5 jump isn't happening off the back of this one feat (that you need to burn 2 slots to even get).

And it'll matter even less in group play because it'll typically be a mix of healers, casters, melee, ranged, tank, etc all fulfilling different roles, plus many builds can just heal each other. Maybe it cuts down on the healer having to be nanny to people on low or mid skulls but it's not like any build can take this then wade into the fray, expecting a few hundred temp hp procs every 8 seconds to save them. You still have to play well in challenging content. There are far greater game balance issues that I've already detailed.

An r10 doom getting 1-shot from afar is clearly a lot more broken.

Have you used the feat? It is not a few hundred temp hp every 8 seconds. It is 2000-3000 temp hp every 6 seconds, with no extra action required.
It can easily take a character from R1-4 to R5-8.

I took the Legendary feat Only.

Haven’t seen more than temp HP in the low 400’s

Would like to here others Actual temp HPs and not speculation based on descriptions

The value for having both feats is not speculation. If you have both feats you get 2x melee power that stacks 3 times, and you can refresh it every 6 seconds.

You are claiming you only have the legendary feat. That is not supposed to be possible and unless you are mistaken I would assume that there is a bug that allows you to select it and that to give the full value the feats mechanically interact.

Strength of Arms by itself provides a 1-2 skull jump at most, but going up skulls is alot more than just self-healing.

Your self-healing goes from 28% to 20% increasing R4 to R6 so strength of arms definitely compensates for the healing loss which is roughly a loss of 28.5%. But you are also take 174% more damage which is the real problem with moving up skulls - you have to be able to absorb or mitigate the incoming damage. So the 1-2 skull jump is a general rule and won't work for everyone since not everyone can deal with the extra damage.

It's possible with a high-sustainable dodge build you can get a higher skull benefit since they take so few hits the temp hp allows them to completely mitigate the damage as long as they can avoid getting one shot. But getting one-shot on R10 is a real problem for most builds trying to solo and would require significant character power on top of a build leveraging dodge and other defenses.

If we are comparing broken things in the game on a scale of 1 to 10. Dodge would be much closer to 10 as the most broken reaper mechanic in the game since they fixed charming. Strength of arms would be like 2-3 as by itself it isn't enough. But it makes an already broken mechanic like dodge even better. So if they want to fix the real problem it would be high sustainable dodge and not strength of arms.

Well, l’ve never taken SoA in any form before this and to be honest, never even knew it existed lol

So yeah, just added it and Only the Legendary version and seems l don’t even get 1x MP stacking 3 times.

So again, looking forward to others who are actually Using this feat to post up Actual Temp HP’s they are seeing in game for comparo

That is fair, most of my experience with the feat is on a dodge stacking character. But on my gimpy non-dodge character it bumped me 3 skulls.

As for dodge, I think a sustainable fix is pretty simple:

Try taking the other feat too then and it might fix your issue.

I am actually using the feat and am telling you that it gives you exactly 2xMP stacking 3 times.

I would again say it's more than strength of arms allowing you to increase 3 skulls because the math and mechanics say jumping from R4 to R7:

- Healing loss of 42.9%
- Enemy damage increase of 222%
- DPS reduction of 54.9%
- Dealing with more difficult reapers and an increase in the quantity of reapers

Very very few builds would benefit enough from Strength of Arms to compensate for this increase in difficulty. One melee build that comes to mind uses a bug to do big damage and with hood of unrest can likely handle any quest or wilderness boss 3 skulls higher for sure since it relies heavily on an interaction working much better than intended to take down any boss in a few seconds.

it was added to the game in u81 so it hasn't existed until the last 2 and a half weeks.

I thought it was just the Legendary version that was recently added?

So you’re saying the Heroic version never existed before this as well?

Would explain why l never heard of it, but just thought it was already in game and that only the Legendary version was new

there's a 21+ feat and a 30+ feat, you need the first one to take the second.

i can totally see a high mp build go from destroying r6 but die on r7 boss to barely doing r10 depend on the quest of cus

nah it totally works the way he says if you by some miracle don't take any damage for the 18 seconds it takes to build up full stacks and then somehow never take more damage than you get temp hp per stack.

But then again, if you're taking damage that sparsely the feat probably isn't making a difference.

You get the full stack if you have any remaining temp HP left. If you lose all temp HP before the 6 seconds are up you only get 1 stack. This is what breaks the ability. If you take less than MPx6 damage every 6 seconds the ability is ridiculously strong, and if you take more than MPx6 damage every 6 seconds the ability is fine.

Post #10 described exactly how it works.
