I couldnt get it to work on either a monk, or a dwarf fighter, and yes, I had both scrolls and used them. I could go up high, but when I tried to move over to the 3rd floor landing, i would just drop

Do you have feather fall going?

Cap level?
think i was 35 at the time, have since been turning off slow fall before even entering the quest.

FWIW, the beam of light was through the main hall when it happened to me, so it's possible I 'jumped' into the updraft beam to avoid it.

ALSO, when it happened to me, i did try turning slow fall off and jumping into it again and still had the problem. It felt like a lingering trigger not applying somewhere ( & hence why I've been turning it off before entering the quest since)

My 12monk 5 rogue 3 fighter was level 34 and my pure dragonlord fighter was level 13 and neither could do it, maybe its something Im doing, IDK. But I did have featherfall boots on and used both scrolls.

While I was eventually able to reach the top floor, I had issues going from the 2nd to the 3rd on a level 35 half-elf favored soul as well. Lots of jittering and stuttering where it would look like I'd make it up but then fail. Dunno if my use of wings made it worse - sharing in case it helps triangulate the issue.

Did turning off monk featherfall before entering the quest have any positive/negative effect?
i've only run it twice since ( at l36) both those other times I turned it off before entering the quest and had no problems and it worked as it should.

& when it did bug for me, it was for the highest level, and seemed to be like the highest barrier had not dropped ( but it had for everyone else), &
the lower levels worked fine.

So you were bouncing off an invisible barrier with your head? Were you taking reverse falling damage?
exactly like that. Took no damage as far as I remember though.
The top of my head never went higher than the floor of that highest level.

i had a pure dark hunter (lvl 34) the first time I tried it, that had feather fall on equipment and I used most of the feather fall scrolls as well. I successfully went from 1st floor to 2nd floor, then 2nd floor to 3rd floor. Then dropped back down to the 1st floor to look for something. When trying to go back to the 3rd floor I couldn't make it to the 3rd floor, had to bail out onto the 2nd floor then jump back in the stream at the 2nd floor level to make it back up to the 3rd floor.

Got a repro. Seems unlike other featherfall effects, monk "slow fall" is also a "slow rise", affects you going up and down. It's possible to time activating it just right when you fly up to get to the third floor or the fourth floor. But it's hella tricky. Monk slow fall is not a good way to go through this quest. A monk with a regular featherfall item (or any of the featherfall scrolls found in this quest) should be able to do it. You don't need to disable your monk "slow fall" before entering the quest, you can do it just before entering the updraft pillar.

Same thing happened to my monk. (pure Eladrin level 34) . Top of my head wouldn't reach level 3, I turned slow fall off and used an icy feather fall potion I happened to have a few of, jumped back into the air and it worked fine.

Same here. (Didn't use FF pots though. Just took my chances to not fall with stance off)

Didn't feel so much as hitting a barrier, more like the jet running out of steam.
