With universal hp visible, you can see exactly how much dmg you've dealt to the airship cannon (proving ground stateroom, activate with control box).
It starts with ~70 hp, and you can keep damaging it into negative numbers without it becoming auto-helpless (unlike the dummies). Its hp won't reset until you store the amenity or the airship instance resets.
I'm not sure if it can be made helpless (didn't work with monk attacks I tried) or sneak attacked, but it can be crit. Not sure how much fortification it has.
