you mean augments? because there are plenty of items that have spellpower that arent weapons.

also, put a deconstructor and a feareater on your EK weapon. a non scaling ruby seems useless tbh
What I am saying is currently spellpower augments are all red and some named ones maybe orange or purple like the feareater you mentioned. And red, orange and purple slots are only found on "weapons, shields, or other hand-held items" per https://ddowiki.com/page/Augment_Slot. I would like to see either some rings or maybe trinkets with red, purple or orange slots. Or yellow or blue augments with spellpower. You can't today slot spellpower on anything but weapons, shields, orbs, etc.

I would love to see permanent Longstrider effect on items (preferably an Augment, thinking Topaz).
It's a level 1 spell with a niche effect and a 15% move speed. Would be nice to see this on par with effects like Water Breathing and Feather Falling.

The 15% move speed would help out new characters but I would want to fit this in to some other gear as I level up for the secondary effect.

One thing I should probably do is make a more general version of this - The name of it makes it impossible to use outside of Eberron content, which is why it didn't appear in Myth Drannor.

Yes, but hear me out here!

Make alternate versions for each sort of Realm!

Ravenloft gets a wisdom version
Eberron gets the standard strength version
Feywild gets the Charisma version
Sharn gets the intelligence version


Also, if it's too much hassle, consider making augment recipes for each of them!

1-Insightful reconstruction, seriously look for this on the DDO WIKI, not many hits at all (A belt slot item for this would be great, or even better give us RustStorm! (Electric+Reconstruction spellpowers) then you could create a ruststorm runearm that has a chance of inflicting enemies with Tetanus (A Debilitating disease!)

2-Touch Of Immortality (Currently only exists on a pair of gauntlets from the Fall Of Truth raid)

3-The heroic version of Boon Of Undeath (This needs released as an augment)

4-Lifeblood of the Undead Prince (This is just on two Feywild items and I love it!)

5-Cannith Combat Infusion (Releasing Variants would be awesome!)

6-Soul Eating, only one item exists for this effect and it's the Grave Wrappings handwraps from the Unquiet Graves quest in Eveningstar and a modern raid tier version of this effect could combine legendary affirmation with the infliction of negative levels resulting in an amazing weapon effect, would really want it on a Bastard Sword!

7-Trap The Soul, have been wanting to see this on a raid tier Bastard Sword forever!

8-Third Litany Of The Crimson Covenant. This effect is great, I absolutely love it, but it only exists on the Keeper Of The Crimson Covenant Dagger

9-Favored Weapon. While Favored weapon items exist, so far no non weapon item has been created that grants a specific weapon type as a favored weapon. For example, I would love to see a Trinket that allows you to use Daggers as your favored weapon that caters to Shadar-Kai (Trip DCs, relentless fury, and Melee Power for example)

Ruststorm (by any name) would be good for Artificer Warforged, I can see that being quite flavorful on some items and we already have several mixed spellcasting items.

Agree on Trap the Soul, was going back over Shadowdancer and the fourth Core has great synergy for it, but it only exists on the Feywild Runearm currently. We already have Phantasmal as an augment, so any chance we could get Trap the Soul as well on Red / Purple? All of the non-caster Shadowdancers would thank you ;)

Most of the the other effects you listed are from Raid items, so doubt they will be added to random loot tables.

I'm seeing a trend where most of the effects would be great as augments so that we don't have to do more gear Tetris to fit an entire item in for a single effect. Maybe this is something to keep in mind going forwards, WE LIKE GEAR FLEXIBILITY! While I understand that having a complete set of augments for every effect in the game may not be something the developers want to do, it's the easiest way for players to be able to finish out gear sets and so they will always be in demand.



While I'm here, may as well add my usual request for an infinite Thieves Tool item, pure QoL so I can sell off the stacks I acquire every life. I put in a suggestion of making this a raid reward that upgrades from +1 (Master Crafted) to +6 (same bonus as +5 Thieves Tool) a few times now...

Also, can we get more potion style clicky's rather than equip items? These are much faster to use rather than swapping weapons and armour back and forth. Restore charge on rest with easy access might make me more inclined to bother using them at low levels.

Lastly, can we get the festival enchantments back? The 10 fire and cold resist makes great starter gear but is mostly irrelevant at higher levels, especially with the way it interacts with Absorb (it really should apply Absorb before Resist IMHO to make both stats desirable). The Festi Frost kits made a reason for people to grind the event back in the day. Can this and Festi Solar be opened up to any weapons (mutually exclusive if needed) so that they are relevant? The named loot makes lootgen worthless so no point using Festi Solar on anything since even starter weapons are either named or Cannith Crafted.

I don't get named gear from MD, Ravenloft Legendary, Feywild Legendary, Saltmarsh Legendary. TOEE. Shorter list, I only get named loot from heroic borderlands, saltmarsh, feywilde, vecna unleashed, and Legendary isle of dread. It's a lot more rare, but sometimes I get named loot from heroic sharn, ravenloft and gianthold, all heroic levels. Gianthold named loot is pretty much useless for me so I sell it on auction. Otherwise I don't get named loot. Solod Chronoscope, did all the optionals and out of all the chests I got a bunch of trashy random gear and a helm of frost. Pretty crappy for an hour of play time. So I'm not playing that raid ever again. I've never seen a rare loot item. So a random loot system that works for paid content would be nice. I'm not saying evertime, but more often. And posting those odds where it's easily found would be nice. I don't want to play and farm a quest if my odds of getting an item I want is lower than winning Mega MIllions.

Augments that carry both a yellow and blue enchantment but maybe at an insightful quality since it's a two in one. And augments that are found, earned, purchased in game or ddo store that are at highest level of crafting at level 32 would be nice

I would like some more favored weapons at all levels.
I would like some Favored weapons to fall that don't have current niches, like handaxes, falchions, dwarven axes, etc.

universal augment slots, put any color augment into the slot. On both named, rare and random dropped gear. In fact, just make all augment slots universal, it would clear up a lot of frustration trying to fill in gaps of enchantments in gear sets.

Add maul and great axe to paladin favored weapon tree. Oh, and favored weapon status augments. And a similar concept for favored weapon selection through enhancement tree for favored soul. Cleric at least has war domain that replaces favored weapon buffs with the war domain weapons buff, paladin has additional weapons for favored weapons in tree, favored soul has nothing. Makes favored weapon enhancements useless if you use a different weapon.

Bonus to imbue dice, especially in heroic and epic.
In Legendary we only have few options with some sets/augments/filigrees, it s not amazing or easy to get.

For sneack attacks there are deception, improved deception and quality deception items.
It should be fair to have some bonuses and effects for imbue builds.

odd, i have probably 75% of the named items in the game. they arent that rare. 33% chance at elite for named item and then split between the items it could be.

I always play elite or reaper 1 or 2, I have VIP, and I run the treasure elixir as well. Some areas I get named gear at reasonable rates, but mostly I get diddly squat, especially MD. Someone posted the math on best case scenario with accounts that have been coded with bad luck on the RNG (mine for example) It would take over two years to get one named item from one quest or raid.
