Lunar Flux (Legendary) Lunar augment:
An augment that has the chaos themed of switching between Insightful, Quality, Sacred or Profane spell focus +1d6 randomly.
If wild magic is present on the character (i.e. wild mage), the dice increases to +2d4.

Backstory:

In the ancient and mystical city of Myth Drannor, renowned for its arcane wonders, a unique artifact was born under the light of a rare celestial event - a lunar eclipse. This artifact, known as the "Lunar Flux", was the creation of a powerful Eladrin sorcerer named Shadowstryke.

Shadowstryke was fascinated by the moon's influence on magic. She believed that just as the moon went through phases, so too did the arcane energies that flowed through the world. To harness this fluctuating power, she began crafting an augment, a conduit that could channel these shifting energies.

The "Lunar Flux" was forged from moonstone mined from the deepest caverns of the Underdark, bathed in moonlight during a lunar eclipse, and imbued with the essence of four powerful spells representing Insight, Quality, Sacred, and Profane spell focus mastery.

However, the moon's chaotic nature imbued the "Lunar Flux" with an unpredictable characteristic. It chaotically switches between the four spell focuses, making it a wild and unpredictable source of power. One moment, it could offer profound insight into the mysteries of the universe, and the next, it could unleash a devastating wave of profane energy.

Despite its unpredictability, or perhaps because of it, the "Lunar Flux" is a sought-after artifact. It is a symbol of the ever-changing nature of magic and a testament to the ingenuity and ambition of its creator. Its whereabouts are currently unknown, waiting to be discovered by the next worthy arcane practitioner.

Total Solar Eclipse (Legendary) Sun augment:
An augment that has the chaos themed of protection that switches between Insighful, Quality, Sacred or Profane dodge +2d15 randomly.
Also increases the maximum dodge allowed by the same amount when the protection is active.
If wild magic is present on the character (i.e. wild mage), the dice increases to +2d20.
5% chance to proc gold skin (ML33 alchemist spell) on the character after being hit.

BackStory:
During the height of Myth Drannor’s magical prowess, the elven archmages and druids sought to create a series of powerful augments to protect their city from the ever-growing threats. Among these, the Total Solar Eclipse was one of the most revered.

The augment was forged during a rare celestial event—a total solar eclipse—when the sun and moon aligned perfectly, casting the land into an eerie twilight. The elven mages believed that this alignment represented the ultimate balance between light and darkness, a balance that could be harnessed to create a powerful protective artifact.

The Total Solar Eclipse augment was imbued with the essence of this celestial event, granting it the ability to shield its bearer from physical harm. When activated, the augment envelops the user in a shimmering aura that absorbs and deflects incoming attacks, making them nearly invulnerable for a short period.

This augment was used by the elite guardians of Myth Drannor, known as the Eclipse Wardens, who were tasked with defending the city during times of great peril. The Total Solar Eclipse became a symbol of hope and resilience, a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always a glimmer of light.

After the fall of Myth Drannor, the augment was lost to history, hidden away in the ruins of the once-great city. Adventurers who seek it out must brave the dangers of the ancient ruins, but those who succeed will gain a powerful tool to aid them in their quests.

Notes: I think of protection as dodge. If the developer likes PRR, feel free to change to that.

Less Nerfy Nerfy more fixy fixy
Please - An upgrade ingredient for 3 slot artifacts to bring them to 4 filigree slots.
Love the idea. but my only complaint or suggestion on that is to increase it to a minimum level equivalent to the four or five slot artifact

The can make every lvl 29 artifact perfected via the nebula fragment. I’m not sure why they didn’t do this when they were implemented. They missed out on a lot of sales for that update.

Designer's Notes: Since a lot of people playing Myth Drannor saying that loot is hard to find, how about a raid loot dedicated to that?

Legendary Elven Seeker’s Amulet

Stats: +7 insightful bonus to loot discovery
+3 Luck bonus to good luck (essentially +3 stacking bonus to all skills and saves)
Green augment slot
Blue augment slot
Yellow augment slot
Sun augment slot
Moon augment slot
alignment restriction: Good characters only, no UMD
race restriction: Elf, Half Elf, Wood Elf, Drow Elf, Eladrin, Chaosmancer only
minor artifact: 5 slots filigree
material: crystal

if wild magic is present on the character wearing the amulet, the bonus increases from +7 to +8 loot discovery.

Description: A beautifully crafted amulet, adorned with intricate elven runes and a radiant gem at its center. The gem glows with a soft, ethereal light, hinting at the powerful magic within.

Backstory: The Elven Seeker’s Amulet was forged during the Golden Age of Myth Drannor, a time when the city was a beacon of knowledge and magic. It was created by the renowned elven mage, Larethian Starweaver, who sought to aid adventurers in their quests for hidden treasures and ancient artifacts.

Larethian, known for his deep understanding of both arcane and divine magics, imbued the amulet with a powerful enchantment that enhances the wearer’s ability to discover valuable loot. The +7 Insightful Loot Discovery enchantment was a result of Larethian’s unique blend of elven craftsmanship and his profound connection to the Weave.

The amulet was initially gifted to the most promising adventurers who pledged to protect Myth Drannor and its secrets. Over the centuries, many have sought the Elven Seeker’s Amulet, believing it to be the key to uncovering the lost treasures of the ancient elven city. However, only those deemed worthy by the amulet itself can unlock its true potential.

Legend:

It is said that the amulet has a will of its own, guiding its wearer to places where hidden treasures lie. Some believe that the spirit of Larethian Starweaver still watches over the amulet, ensuring it remains in the hands of his elven brethren who would use its power for good.

i'd like to see an orb that looks something like the following:

magical efficiency-x%
permanent efficacy-x
insightful universal spellpower-x%
exceptional universal spellpower-x%
quality universal spellpower-x%
purple slot
orange slot
sun/moon (either) slot

idk though right now with double dino sticks its kinda hard to justify running an off hand that doesnt add value like the debuffs of the double dino sticks once i can put on my double sticks.

Something I personally would love to see, as a cleric enthusiast, if Steelstar is still taking suggestions:

Gear that enhances the various 20 second radiant servant turn procs from the various domains. A piece of gear that made these procs last double the duration would be nice. Or made them say, 25% better.

Gear that enhances radiant servant aura or burst, making it heal for more. Or adding an extra healing DoT or something.

Also gear that boosts ameliorating strike from Warsoul/Warpriest or just the Smite Foe line in general along similar lines would be neat.

For the raid, I would like to see items with dual solar/lunar slots. Currently, I see not enough slots to make up for the losses taken when breaking up the prior level 31 sets.

There has not been a raid longbow since Dryad and nothing better than Chaosbow from Killing Time, which is lvl 28 and from 2018, outside of dino bone + Fragment of Extraplanar Shadow. The issues I see is that they have backed themselves into a corner because Chaosbow has all the premium effects. So, without one or more of those (see Aerania) you wind up with something that will not be as useful at lvl 33-34.

I would like to see some sort of set or crafting option to keep us engaged and wanting to run the raid beyond the handful of items that your build will want.

There is a longbow and it looks like a decent upgrade to Chaosbow (subject to changes of course)

I did not realize they posted this info yet. The bow looks good depending on what sealed in fire does. Also, using a new raid bow means putting down dino bone and then breaking that set. The only advantage I see is dripping with magma which is good, but not worth losing a set bonus for.

Sealed in fire lets you add an LGS effect: dust, ash, ooze, vacuum, salt, or affirmation (your choice of which).

The raid weapons look really nice. The items still gonna be a tough fit because the rare augments.

Overall, if the rare loot tables can be properly addressed, this update may still be redeemable. I would suggest augments being on its own loot table and a chance to drop in optional chests. Otherwise for most it appears to be a simple ignore to farm.

Hello everyone, happy release day for Myth Drannor! I've got a topic for discussion during today's downtime:

We're working on the Raid Loot for a raid that's coming out a little down the line, and would like some insight into what effects players would like to see on that loot. Here's what we're looking at:

Unchangeable Parts:
  • There will be around 20 named items in this Raid's loot table.
  • The items will be Minimum Level 33.
  • There can potentially be an upgrade system (to the named items in the raid, Myth Drannor quest loot, or both)
  • There can not be an extensive build-your-own crafting system (like Dino Bone crafting)
  • Sun and Moon Augment Slots can only exist on the slots they exist on in Myth Drannor quest loot
  • There is new, unique art for the following item types:
    • Rapier
    • Shortsword
    • Shuriken
    • Kukri
    • Longbow
    • Scimitar
    • Falchion
    • Orb
    • Quarterstaff
    • Throwing Dagger
    • Kama
    • Large Shield
      • This means we are aiming to make these item types for this Raid - Feedback on these item types is especially important
      • It also means we are unlikely to make items for this Raid that need art but aren't on this list (Helms, armor, cloaks, other weapons, etc), though it is possible - It just wouldn't have unique art. As we said above, upgrading some of the Myth Drannor quest loot could be an option here.

Useful Feedback:
For the purpose of this thread, actionable constructive feedback factors in the following:
  • Contains what you do want to see, not (just) what you don't want to see
  • Is specific about effects when possible, or frames out the purpose of the item you want to see
  • Stays within the rules of the Unchangeable Parts above
And please remember: This thread is in Official Discussions. Official Discussions do not permit debates between players and are more heavily moderated than typical threads. Stay on topic!
Gauntlets of Valorous, Barakus bracers. Also you mentioned dino bones and i wanted to tell you that the T-rex roars are L A M E ! You should go on the internet and hear how terrifying they REALLY sounded or so they believe. its something deep and rumbling and you feel it in your body and bones as you hear it. A deep bass sound. As far as Myth Drannor goes you already introduced the "set bonuses" which was something exclusive to Myth drannor only it was called resonating powers the gauntlets of valorous when worn with a certain ring and something else which i forgot combines to grant additional power like the set bonuses. So if I were going to do something like that I would make myth drannor set bonuses stand out because you have already done it with sharn and other expansions before that.

Thank you all for your feedback! We're past the point of further changes for this Raid, so locking this thread.

While we couldn't possibly adapt every idea here for this Raid, some of these ideas are things we'll examine for whenever the next Raid comes around.

In the meantime, I'd encourage you to check out the new thread on Quest Loot Effects:
