one Im looking at now with a small position is Teradata (symbol: TDC)

just under 2 billion is a micro cap. lmao :)

cloud AI play pretty much... assuming AI needs the cloud companies to function and interact?

96% institutional ownership.. this is a total sleeper for a takeover bid by one of the big Teck giants at around 14-15 p/e ?

not a ton of debt , roughly 1/4 balance sheet

IDK really im asking ;) they do have a flat revenue, in a sector that should be rising in demand as we move forward....and they have high ratings in their sector as well.

startups like the one you mention depend heavily on TWO components:
1. stong clear vision
2. motivational energy

the fact they have a high rating suggests they enjoy both. If you're expecting a future takeover bid then its fine to assume the business will never make a profit until its consumed by a much bigger fish that sees a great fit

my advisor says...
  • Yes, as a high-risk value turnaround: If you're betting on corporate action or execution in cloud transition, there's potential for 40% upside.
  • But it’s not a growth play: Weaker revenue trends, legacy concerns, and tough competition from Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
I'd post the charts but they might not like that.... I can pm u a report if you want

I like would ARTY and IROBT ETF's better, if you understand ETF prices can gyrate wildly day to day ... lol you buy low sell high... yea sure. I some bought INTEL years ago for the 5% dividend, huge mistake...

i saw the main reports, TY

some these laggards could be less volatile, and should follow this cloud play up. Large caps were main focus over the last few quarters.

*any industrials look good r now???? i m scouting Haliburton ..that thing moves and crashes with gdp booms and is at surprising lows. Maybe catching some industrials out of rotation... hmmm

I am desperate for high growth with more risk on. I am more progressive since I am old and sick and yada, yada...

I buy ONEQ on big dips, rotate to REITS when that stalls, or ETFs like PTY, PDO, PGP, or almost any other PIMCO fund, but they are NOT all the same.

I looked up TDC they are making money, but their stock is down ALLOT YTD. They make money. they have over 600 patents as IP.

The huge bear in the room is they are in patent litigation with SAP. Their initial file against SAP was tossed, by the judge, reinstated and remanded by the 9th circuit and that was appealed by SAP to SCOTUS where they are waiting on the case.

Who know what will happen and it could be years. If they win at SCOTUS and the patents are worth the money, SAP will buy them out. The thing is, SAP is huge and has money and friends, there is nothing stopping them from gaming the market using proxies to push down the price of the stock down over time and slowly buying it up themselves slowly. Then they buy enough to take over the board of directors and make them a US subsidiary of SAP.

That would turn me off.

Can you make money in that? maybe, lol

Tech is in a bubble. If you're gonna buy, make it for the short haul.
the sky is blue so a truck will hit me at precisely 4PM.

Its not enough for sentences to be meaningful, there needs to be some basis in groundrealities. Hence why we crave for factual evidence etc instead of "hey your soothsayer pulled out that chicken's liver and declared athens will crush rome but my soothsayer only uses newborm lamb guts and she claimed rome will swat away athens like an irritating insect"
