Just seeing this. Very cool build sir! I love seeing unique stuff like this. :)
Thanks! Hopefully we'll get more support for this and other niche playstyles in the future, but in the meantime I'll be always trying to beat the game with things people say are mostly useless, like hires and stealth... :)

Cheers,

My main warlock enchanter build is really at its heart a minion build, utilizing primal and the heart ally - I love it and have been using primal since the new ED was introduced. Love seeing builds that reaffirm what Ive known for a while - very cool - thanks for posting. PS my bard is also a storm minion build and though I havent posted any videos, I've been doing essentially the same gameplay with r6, though my build for my bard is slightly different.

Yeah, Primal is a great tree for some multi-element casters - blightcasters, stormsingers and some warlocks that match well with the mantles' elements will get more overall DPS than using the DI mantle, at least against trash mobs (single target the DI mantle still wins it out because of the DoT), and even more so now with the nerf to DB.

That makes the boosts to hirelings from Primal a quite small investment as far as Destiny points go (just 4) - which does not hamper the build much when playing in groups.

However, I feel Great Summoner's boosts from Magus also have a role in being able to play at higher difficulties, so that kinda limits build options a bit more - making Stormsinger the best fit for a "minion build" (as you called them) in my view (together with the healing shouts from FS to keep them alive without messing up your DPS rotation).

I wish there was more support overall for hires on other Destiny trees like we have on Primal and Magus, since that would certainly help with build variety.

In any case, it's glad to see another hirelings/summons afficionado around. ;)

Cheers,
NH

Hey, folks... I've been away from the forums for a while, and in the meantime made some changes to the build. I'm finally back and decided to update this thread with the current iteration. I don't have a breakdown video like the old one yet, but I do have a new channel I'm using to promote the build, in which I'll post flawless solo r10 completions of every legendary quest in the game (or at least that's the goal - some may be impossible to achieve because of specif mechanics hostile to soloing or hires/summons). Here's the link:

Storm Summoner Build channel

Aso, I have uploaded a Maetrim v2 file with both the current iteration (including pls and gear), and a suggestion for a first life build:

Storm Summoner Build Maetrim v2 file

As usual, feel free to ask any questions!

Cheers,

Playing your first-life build on Cormyr w/Skull Lanterns...working well in early days. Why the heavy investment in Move Silently?
Hey, Godbreaker... Thanks for the interest!

Sneaking can be very useful when soloing on higher difficulties, to avoid unecessary fights - I use it very often - you can check some of the videos on my channel, like the ones for Blockade Buster, Needle in a Feystack, Diplomatic Impunity, Growing Pains and many others for examples of effective sneaking.

Cheers!
