Strimtom discovered a UI bug with the VIP Rewards menu

No issues here on closing it on a default client. Looks like it's more likely an issue with their custom UI skin they're using that's causing the problem.

If relaunching doesn't fix it, he might try to turning off the custom ui, and/or do a /ui layout load and see if fixes it.

I tried recreating when Strimtom did. I had a ui skin added, reduced/deleted the VIP rewards window by dragging upwards on my screen while holding the window. It worked just like his experience. Next thing I did was try and find a way to get the window back, using the suggestions of folks in the thread here. So far nothing has worked. Logging Out/In, Quitting/Restarting Client, turning the default ui back on, using /ui layout load. Nothing worked. It is still gone. So until SSG fixes the VIP rewards window so that it can't be collapsed completely when resizing it, I don't think there's a way to get it back if you 'delete it' so to speak on purpose or by accident.

Delving into this further, it appears each menu that is adjustable is unique unto each character. So this wouldn't be gone on another character unless if you've done it on other characters before. So you can easily open on another character without issues, just not on the one you reduced the window size to 0 or less on.

Incidentally, performing a Reincarnation of some kind will reset it back anyway. Nothing alarming about it at all.

Just close the window. Don't change it to 0 or below and become shocked it's not visible afterwards, because that's the state you left it in!

Hello, Just want to comment that this has nothing to do with UI Skins, this is a bug in the VIP Window resize event. This window should NOT be resizable. The issue can be repeated on a fresh install of DDO with no Skins installed. I have not been able to find the window size stored value, but can tell you it's character based, this leads me to believe it's stored on the server and not locally. Please submit a bug report, or maybe someone can find something more

• Resetting Config - DID NOT FIX
• Uninstall/Reinstall, with deleting folders/registry settings - DID NOT FIX
• Using /UI load - DID NOT FIX
• Is Character Based - YES

As said in my last reply here; a Reincarnation of any kind will reset all UI Windows back to defaults, and will bring it back on the character that you might have resized it down to 0 or below.

Although unless if you're about to be Reincarnating (of any kind) that might be a costly option.
