Stuck at "installing pre-requisites" in the launcher

The launcher won't do anything besides showing this message.
I could play without issues some weeks/months ago.
Now suddenly I can't. I tried messing around my network config like disabling my firewall/antivirus, creating new rules allowing the launcher, even tried reinstalling.
However, using a VPN I'm able to run the launcher. (I'm located in Spain)
Any tips? I'd like to try port forwarding but I don't know what ports are used in the game.

Btw, looking at my forum messages looks like I had the same issue like a year ago and it fixed magically on its own after like 20 days lol. Wish I knew what's going on.

Any tips?

Unplug everything for 10 minutes, your computer, your internet router, your wifi router, etc. Everything. Sometimes routing tables need to update.

Did the same to me yestereve, but then after I closed it and reopened it all was fine, sorry youre having a trial at the moment

Also yeah I tried repairing. I'm doing it again after messing around with other network stuff, crossing my fingers.

so just relaunching the game worked? I'm glad it fixed itself man

Stuffed if I know what sorted it! I usually put random problems like this down to , in no particular order, SSG servers, A/V problems, SSG, Microsoft , SSG. or Daybreak. someone/thing in that list is probably the problem or the day of the week has a Y in it. Me, being very helpful.

So I may have some missing files.
However, using a VPN (free one, it lags like hell), I'm able to log in, so are these files online only or something like that?
