Symphony of the Fey feedback

Forgive me if this is the wrong forum section, it seems like the best place for this.

The Good:
  • Being able to use multi-TR characters to acquire rewards
  • The HC items (some of them, anyway) were different enough from the softcore to be desirable
  • Not decimating the population of live servers
  • The new sub-zones had a decent variety of objectives
The Bad:
  • The Saves on many of these monsters was heavily overtuned
  • Too easy to cheese (more on this below)
  • Too much death spam (can we up it to like level 10+?)
The Ugly:
  • Some of the items (especially the mount) are almost impossible to tell the difference at a glance
  • Half-Cloaks have to be some of the worst looking cosmetics in the game (ok, so this is *quite* subjective)
  • The lack of marketing pictures beforehand. Why do players have to be your advertising?

Anti-Cheese Proposal

Currently some of the sub-zones required you to be at least level X to enter, but there was no limit. You could take a level 34 character into Elite Heroic Saltmarsh and solo the quest for someone else. Also, you could get to 20 and have someone take a 34 into the Leg quests and get the mote fighting completed for you.

The logical thing would be to have these sub-zones have tighter restrictions on who can enter. If a player over level X can't get progress on the golden mote, then they can't enter the sub-zone. Cheese solved. Maybe also have a lower limit on the Leg quests, as well.

To a lesser extent this problem also exists with the regular quests. Someone could run Into the Mists for a level 20 character, and they would get full credit for sitting at the entrance, only to run up after everything is dead for the mote acquisition.

While nobody really cares about this kind of cheese with the softcore rewards, the ability to cheese the leaderboards is detrimental to those who care about such things (of which I'm not one). But it is true that these multiple methods of cheese can combine to make the acquisition of the HC rewards trivial, something that I'm sure most people are not in favor of.
