SSG, please do consider give us one random golden age weapon, one per account per server is ok.

The best gift I've given myself for Xmas is a break from DDO. Currently playing Pathfinder: WoTR
I've tried getting back into WoTR, but after two full runs, I got midway through a third run and just lost all interest. The play-throughs just aren't different enough for me. Or maybe it's that I tried playing the game too soon after beating it the first two times.

Not sure what it is about DDO that's different. Perhaps because there's a lot more content to DDO than WoTR. Maybe because the leveling up is faster with DDO and thus I can TR and try out new builds and new combat styles without as much slogging through lots of dialogue choices and save scumming skill checks.

The best gift is fixing the loot tables xD. A single weapon does nothing.

That, and promising not to continue doing thermonuclear nerfs.

Why would you stay in the forums of a game you left?
A "break" implies that I'm not logging on to play, while actively watching what takes place on forums.

My resumption of play may be a long while as I'm possibly leaving the EU for the US. While being a native of the US, it's only true appeal is employment. Otherwise, I'd just assume stay retired in Europe and tell the US oligarchy to eat a (expletive).

It helps to have a goal when playing Pathfinder... Game plays differently based upon choices made earlier in. Though I will say, that starting out is very much a PITA regardless of build / goals.

There seem to be a rather large number of people that hate this game so much, that they stick around just to tell us how horrible this game is.... year after year after year........
I've been playing DDO since 2006 and have often taken long absences for significant reasons. Case in point, I retired from the service back in 2013, then moved to the EU in 2015. Along the way with multiple deployments, getting married and having kids, pushing the pause button for a few months to several years is a given.

Beyond all that... I'm finding my DDO game time to be more of an exercise in frustration than actual game play. Maybe as time goes on the Dev's may alter course to make the game fun again. Until then, I'll watch and wait...

They'll give you a golden age small hammer and laugh as you spend shards to get a second one to actually make a usable weapon.
