Maybe not a name we'd remember seeing on the Top 40, but thru the 80s he had a hand in a huge number of hits and anyone from the era definitely heard his playing.

Okay, yeah, this one hurts. I grew up watching MASH, and it was the one show mom let me stay up past bedtime one night a week to watch. The MASH characters were, are, like family.

I was a huge fan of the Beach Boys. They personified the California beach vibe and filled Rock and Roll with amazing new harmonies and sounds. They inspired millions of musicians, vocally.
