Why not full tempest and grab trance from HW? You could 12 R / 8 DL as well. Tempest is still one of the better TWF trees. Dragon lord splash does make it more defensive + the imbue and trance. You could also just do a TWF dagger build and invest more heavily into vistani.
15P / 5R is another option, in which case light mace might be preferential.

IMO it’s better if things don’t get posted sometimes
I run a similar build to this and have rocked it for the last hmmm, at least 6 months I’d say. Would I rock it like slam? No.
Melee alch is hella fun, but yeah let’s please not all glaze this for a nerf
If you’re taking strength at arms and not using movement and just using your PRR spam to help you, I just think personally it’s a trap. Also not using a swap for prowess either iirc
Anyway I’m glad slam is having fun, that’s the main thing!

I get that. I stopped publicly posting my builds a looooong time ago for that reason.
This is a bit different though.
1) I wasn't asking Spook to post a full build. I only asked for a link to an existing video of a TWF that has done better somewhat recently. A video without a full build makes it hard for the devs to know what to nerf since they don't understand how to properly run a fully min/max'd toon.
2) It's fairly common knowledge there are stronger melee builds than this. It's just that most of them aren't TWF nor Alchemist, which is what makes this interesting.
Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but unless a posted build is using not-WAI *features*, I'd hope at this point even SSG devs know nerfing TWF would just be picking on the smallest kids at the playground. Well, second smallest since we have still have some casters that haven't quit altogether hanging around.

2. I heavily contest that TWF is such low dps it’s compared to casters.. that’s just not even close to true at all.
3. Alchemist melee has been a thing for a while, just no one ran it recently
well, except me that I know of. Now I’m kinda sad cuz there will be a bunch running around after this post I’m sure lol

@Indyanna All builds are variations of other builds. A build consists not only from a class split, but a combination of enhancements, EDs, Feats, mechanism, playstyle and gear. This makes each build unique in its own way. This build was meant to be a nice way of showing alchemists can be fun and it's just one of many (many many) interesting builds I still have in stock (and I might post them as well).
@Kimbere The video I've uploaded is not a speed-run, but a normal run and a way of showing the build's gameplay since it's unconventional and relatively unique. As of today, barbarian/DL/kensai/paladin (and way more) TWF builds can do more damage than the Full Meta Alchemist and blast through quests a lot quicker (from personal experience).
@SSG I really like what you're doing with the game making it more and more fun and balanced. Keep the good stuff coming! You deserve props on that. Also, I'm gonna post all the builds I want here and you're free to nerf or buff whatever you like. If the game gets boring I'll quit it and if it's gets awesome I'll recommend it to my friends - it's that simple.
With that being said, I will not make further comments about this topic and I do appreciate if you keep the discussion here relative to the build. If you wanna make a personal debate about how meta melee is, feel free to take it to another forums post.
As always, feel free to ask here questions about the build/playstyle and let me know what you think. I'll do my best to answer everyone's questions

The big issue with SWF on this build is the animation. All the powerful strikes coming from this build are only powerful on a TWF setup and pretty weak on a SWF. For example, the Poisoned strike - which is a core feature of this build - is not snappy like on TWF (to say the least), and it's borderline annoying to use IMO. If you choose to go TWF with chains, then the chains are just too slow because you're not getting the SWF attack speed from feats. With that being said, you're more than welcome to try a SWF chain version and let me know if it rocks!

I'm aware. Unlike others, I took this for the display you intended it to be, not a min/max'd speedrun.
I saw right away where some improvements could be made, especially on a toon with quad-completionist as well as some choices in the actual game-play in the mission.
That said, it's obvious that this is a well-rounded build and honestly, I think it could be highly competitive if someone did decide to min/max it for speedrunning R10s solo, which is funny since it's a caster class icon.
It really does show how bad and out of balance SSG's caster design is these days when the highest DPS caster is a rogue icon and one of a caster class' best DPS options is a TWF melee.
All the noise aside, thanks for posting it. Nice job on the build and video.

I'm currently playing inquis build, because Ranger PL (9Rgr | 4Art | 7Rog), and I havent done a inquis in years. It's really so boring in heroics. 2 AoEs on 12s cooldown that may or may not actually hit anything. then back pedal! and the wind up for NHB is so annoying.

Yes, nerf everything. If anyone has fun with a build, it should be nerfed into the ground so that it's at best as miserable as whatever precious abomination the loudest forum complainer plays.
